Tasked to create improvement on request for work inspection RFWI document registry. RFWI reference is crucial in infrastructural work involving sub contractor; it act as a proof of approval by consultant.

Updated RFWI registry entry and study method of statement for hot tapping and line stopping for water pipe. Hot tapping is the method of making a connection to existing piping or pressure vessels without the interrupting or emptying of that section of pipe or vessel. procedures can be summarized as follow:

• Hot Tap Saddle or weld nozzle installed, valve installed, assembly is pressure tested and hot tap machine attached.
• Valve opened, hot tap completed, coupon or cut portion retained by latches on pilot drill. Pressure is contained within the hot tapping machine.
• Cutter and coupon retracted and valve closed. Fluid is drained and hot tapping machine is removed. The tapped valve is now ready for the contractor’s tie-in or IFT’s linestop/stopple equipment to be inserted.

In the morning I prepared some documents for subcontractor to continue work on Jalan kuari, Hulu langat interchange.

In the afternoon, I went for a site walk with Mr Hazwan and Mr Shahril ( new M&E Manager) along package 1 project span.
