Oversee mild steel water pipe laying process by How thong civil and construction at Jalan kuari CH1800 Left hand side.

2 way pipe is laid 1.5metres in depth and jointed using Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW). Jointing operation are performed by competent certified welder. River sand bed and crusher run were used to bury the pipe to avoid surface soil from sinking. Standard documentation procedure such as permit to work (PTW), traffic management plan(TMP) and request for work inspection(RFWI) were handled before site work.

Liaise with local community on the upcoming open cut MS pipe laying work at jalan Kuari, the upcoming work were too close to local residence and shop. After a brief discussion, we decided to proceed work at night time to avoid any inconvenience to the locals.

Site walk with M&E and surveyor team for future TNB poles pegging, poles location were 1 metres from our right of work (ROW) and  approved by TNB from previous site walk. Also we went to several local residence which require us to relocate their service cable. Discussion on the method for relocation are done and CAD drawing were plotted to be presented to the residence owner and TNB to seek for approval.

Discussion with consultant on type of footing bolt for street lighting poles. Due to faulty parapet design, J bolt is too long to be installed on bridge. Hence it is decided L bolt is used for bridge lighting. Documentation for the L bolt usage are prepared to be presented.
