ACTIVITY

After a week, i tried to change the initial shape of congkak from a common one to the unique one. As i was thinking to add flower for the outer shape of the hole, so i roughly design to the random shape of congkak. I tried to make it suitable for the overall theme. 

I also learned back the basic thing about Congkak. Be it shape and history. Some player called the 7 small holes as house or either 'kampung'. The the biggest holes as storehouse or home. Each player uses the side of the board that is closest to him or her. Each player starts the game with seven shells in his or her houses. Usually a ‘buah’ (game piece) using rubber seeds or marbles. The length of the 7 holes Congkak board is usually around 80 cm wide and the diameter of the seven holes is usually about 18 cm.

ACTIVITY

On this day, what i did was adding line by using offset method for all 14 holes (house) which have a total 16 layer. After that, i added line for the outer shape of the congkak and added hole for the screw to pass through all the layer. The diameter for the hole of screw is 6 mm. There are about 6 holes to hold onto all the layer.

ACTIVITY

Early in the morning, i did preparation for the presentation with Dr Ahmad Humaizi, the supervisor of UTM. 

At 9 am sharp, i started the presentation in front of Dr Ahmad Humaizi and manager, Chan Chee Leong. The presentation takes almost 1 hour and a half. During presentation, there is interaction from both side, supervisor and manager. There are also question and answer session. I could say the journey and experience in the company is the best value i could bring for the future also the punctuality and discipline that lead to the good working result. 

After ended the site visit from UTM's supervisor, i continue my work for the Congkak. Try to edit for the big hole.

Around 4.30 pm, i had meeting with manager. The purpose is to know the flow and give comments on my project. 

During meeting, he suggested that i change the shape of Congkak to something creative

ACTIVITY

On this day, i started with searching and find ideas for the suitable shape of Congkak. Previously, banana leaf and ship structure was suggested during meeting. So, i tried to find the suitable shape of banana leaf and ship that could fit the big hole (house) of Congkak.

After lunch hour, i started tracing for overall example of leaf in NanoCAD. 

Then, I tried trace for another shape including fish.

ACTIVITY

On the last day of week 10, first i did was find again the suitable shape for the Congkak. Think the best way to produce the shape that at the end could attract people. 

In the morning, i did editing for the banana leaf shape. Transfer and adding some design towards it. 

At last my work is wasted as the software suddenly shut down and cannot function well. All the editing and drawing just missing like that.
