ACTIVITY

(1) 8 am

Have been taken this project seriously, so i did my best on doing my part very best. Since last week i been doing the tracing for the turtle and since then i cannot finish overall layer within the perfect time.

  • Overall dimensions of the finished product 300 x 600 mm
  • Number of layers - 7 layers +5 layers Shell
  • Drawings are available in the following formats: CNC plasma machine. (AI, CDR, SVG, DXF)

(2)  1.50 pm

  • Drawings are available in the following formats: CNC plasma machine. (AI, CDR, SVG, DXF)

Done the overall layer. Each layer is numbered and has special holes for easy positioning of the layers and easier assembly of the finished product.

  1. After tracing, i need to copy the shape of turtle according to the colour and according to the layer.
  2. Transfer the coloured turtle into Ucancam. Edit some line that not connected and some shape to follow the first layer. This is to run simulation of profile machining.

This step is continuous from first layer until 14th layer.

ACTIVITY

Upon arrival, i directly edit some part that need to be edit before run the machine.

At 10.50 am, I planned on combining the upper part (shell) of the turtle first and then continue for the rest. The upper part (shell) consist of five layer.

  • Set up in the Ucancam
  • Check the line, make sure connected to each other.
  • Simulation of profile machining.

ACTIVITY

(1) 8 am

Still on my first task which is grill panel. Edit the third grill panel on simulation for machining.

(2) 9.30 am

I did on machining the last grill panel and clean up the dusk/burr.

(3) 1.40 pm

I started on machining the turtle. I planned to machine the upper part of the turtle which is the shell of the turtle. There are all five layer. Before that, I make sure:

  • Set up in the Ucancam
  • Check the line, make sure connected to each other.
  • Simulation of profile machining.

ACTIVITY

Still have flaws on previous machining, so i decided to make a new one for N part and O part. N part and O part is the last two part of sofa.

  • Group the two part for nesting.
  • Simulation of profile machining.

After lunch hour, i started back setting for a turtle. Continue for the last part which is the body part. There are overall 7 layer more.

  • Set up in the Ucancam
  • Check the line, make sure connected to each other.
  • Simulation of profile machining.

Around 4 pm, i was done all the part. This done exactly at 6 pm. That is mean, i was working for extra hour.

Saturday

ACTIVITY

(1) 8 am

From early morning, i edited for sofa part in the Ucancam. Include :

  • Mirror of the actual sofa. Make it overall part to be 20 part. The other 9 part have been done on the other day.
  • Group all the part for nesting. But then, the most suitable nesting is by manual to save the mdf board from wasted.
  • Did simulation of profile machining for 20 part.
  • Ready to cut or machine.

Start machining around 10 am. After finish machining, i started to clean up the dust from the surface of the board, switch on vacuum to suck the dust and sweep the floor.

Around 1 pm, Fisa and i decided to work extra hours. We working together to machine for spacer. There are overall 600 spacers include 3mm mdf and 6mm white foam. This takes around 1 hour and 45 minutes to complete all the spacer. But then, that was only Fisa's spacer. I could not continue machining my part as the time showed 2.45 pm. Then, we decided to stop working and continue on Monday.
