ACTIVITY

I set up for the rest of Congkak in Ucancam software before ready to machining. 

Before that, I helped Fisa to set up the material for the new CNC machine. 

So first I did editing again for the last layer and the layer before. I set for the all four layers in one simulation. After that, I compare the thickness and the size before continue for the rest layer. 

After I did machining about ten layers, I thought I need to change the size of holes from 1 mm different to 2 mm. So, what I did was continue edit again and used offset method. This way for layer 8 until 14 only. 

Then, i continue did machining for the layer number 8 until 12 only. 

As time about 5 pm, I stop the activity on machining and did the finishing. Clean the surface of the layer that have been done by using sand paper. 

ACTIVITY

Early in the morning, I started machining for the layer 13 and 14 only. 

After going through all the layer, I saw some flaws on layer 17 which the holes is not exactly 6.4 mm. So, it cannot fit the stud or screw of 6 mm diameter. I then decided to renew that layer. 

After that, I prepared a few pieces of MDF board with length about 90 mm and width of 38 mm to be used later for new CNC machine and three pieces of MDF board with length and width of 40 mm.

After lunch break, I directly set up the material on the CNC machine and did machining for the layer that not be done. There are three layers total excluding the first layer. I also did machining for the two layers of butterfly and had time to clean the surface of that material while waiting Fisa done her work.

ACTIVITY

First, I settled up everything including logbook and E-portfolio. Since this is the last week of internship, I tried to do everything on time including report and video also the final project.

After that, I did transfer drawing from nanoCAD into Ucancam software. The drawing is to be used for the first layer. As the first layer only is not done yet due to unsuitable design, so I cannot do finishing or combine overall layer together. 

After lunch, I did machining for the last layer and I had time for the finishing too.

I get helped from Mr Sam and Mr Tay regarding the issue to combine the overall layer. I had difficuties because the technique I will be using is not suitable to combine all layer. So what they did is perfectly fit to my work and does not ruin the project. 

I also did bring home the butterfly part to combine all together and making the video for both butterfly and Congkak.

ACTIVITY

I started my day combine all layer of butterfly and then Congkak. 

Before that, I need to make a hole for the layer 2 and 17 using hand drill to fit in the 5mm countersunk screw. 

After that, I had to clean again the surface for both butterfly and Congkak before last finishing.

All in all, I did everything (assemble) until the product is done.

First, i did my logbook and e-portfolio before continue edit for the video. 

After that, i make sure every single thing also the video is perfectly done.
