ACTIVITY

As i was planned last week to run the machine for the spacer, so i did it on this day. Overall 145 spacer is done created.

While waiting overall 145 spacer to be done, i did cleaning on the surface of the spacer that have been cut. Other than that, i was ready to cut for the new part of the sofa. There are three part of sofa that was done badly before. 

After that, i was working on the finishing. 

ACTIVITY

While waiting for Fisa done her task, i edited for the grill panel. As i was not satisfy with the previous grill panel, i need to do again for the new grill panel. 

The changes include the size, shape, and setting of simulation. I have done badly on the first grill panel, so the changes i did for this one are changing the size 300x600 mm, changes the cutting tool especially for conical D0.20 A45 and change from profile machining to the 3D corner engraving for the outer region. 

There are two grill panel that need to be renew. The first one ofcourse on the first grill panel and the last one is the third grill panel.

• First grill panel. Renew because there is no 3D corner engraving at for the outer region.
• Third grill panel. Renew because there are a lot of dust produce due to the blunt of the end mill D3.175 mm. 

ACTIVITY

Since early morning, i already start my work by doing measurement for the sofa but then the manager came along help on the calculating it. The overall length of the sofa is 387 mm including all the spacer. 

I getting help from Zakir to grind the total length of the stud of 2m. So, the overall of the stud for the sofa is five with 387 mm length. 

After that, i start on the assemble for the sofa. It takesaround 15 minutes as the hole of the spacer is not big enough. So, it take time for the spacer to put into the stud of length of 187 mm. The hole should be in diameter of 6.20 mm but it was wrongly dimension as the diameter become 6.02 mm. 

After done my part, i was helping Fisa doing her part. Example below (BALI RESIDNCES) was her masterpiece.

ACTIVITY

Since early morning i was in the office updating both logbook and e-portfolio. After so long not update the e-portfolio, there are so much work to be done and consider. I need to transfer all the activities from logbook into e-portfolio from week 4 until now, week 8. 

In a middle of updating, i search on the information and find idea for the last project (Individual project). The project might be my last project before i end my internship. The concept have been told before on the first meeting. The concept still based on wood and more like traditional games. But, after a few week thinking of what i should do, i already decide to make layer like a previous project. Just the design is different.

ACTIVITY

I started my day searching for information and find ideas for the last project. The information is regarding the traditional games especially congkak. At first, i planned to do a unique guitar using a technique of layering and contain mandala design. 

After some taught, i change my mind towards congkak as Fisa already choose guitar as her project. Normally, congkak contain seven small holes and two big holes. The length is about 800mm and width of 180 mm. Nowadays, there a lot of interesting design of congkak that attract people. So, i made my mind to make one that suit their taste and attract attention. The upper part of hole might have a unique design for all nine holes. The design is more like a flower and ribbon. 

Around 1 pm, i started doing a wrapping for the previous project which are turtle, leaf, sofa and signboard. The wrapping is a bit challenging as it was my first time trying it. Luckily, we are done wrapping nicely.

After that, i continue back on my project. Tracing for the congkak and the design of the mandala for the hole.
