Today there was a presentation for the FKM supervisor, Prof. Jamaliah.
This presentation is mainly about the the work done, task and things we had learnt in this company.
Prof. Jamaliah reached here at 10.30 am and I guided her to the meeting room.
Since there are 4 interns in CGPV, we took turn to present, together with our campany supervisors.
Prof. Jamaliah asked us many questions regarding the detailed work done, several professional terms etc.

For P26 and P4 site, there will be inspection of first layer of cement stabilized macadam from the City Council.
Since there were still some construction materials nearby, the contractor had been instructed to remove all these things to other place.
There was a high voltage electric cables that need to cross the road.
Therefore, excavation is required to bury this pipeline.
During free time, I also polished my AutoCAD and SolidWorks skills throught practicing.

In order to better understand how a cost segregation study is conducted, I studied on how a building is constructed to understand the construction process.
There are several stages in the construction process, including concept, contracts & bid documents, bidding, construction, construction payments and completion.
All construction projects begin with planning and design, also referred to as "architectural programming." Numerous overlapping steps occur during this conceptual or design phase, prior to actual construction of the project.
In order to solicit construction bids, the builder must provide potential bidders with working drawings and plans for the proposed structure, as well as project specifications, the terms of which are spelled out in contracts.
The third stage of the construction process is bidding. Once an owner determines that a project is feasible and that construction financing is available, the owner will solicit bids or proposals from general contractors and/or specialty contractors. In this case, contractors are invited to bid on the construction job.
The fourth stage of the construction process, called fieldwork, is the actual construction of the project. Fieldwork is broken down into building permits, subcontractors, scheduling subcontractors, shop drawings, project submissions, and change orders.
The fifth stage of the construction process is the construction payments stage. All construction contracts extend over a period of time. The order of any business operation is to collect money as soon as work is complete. When a contractor completes a prescribed amount of work, the owner pays the contractor for the completed work.
The final phase of the construction process is known as the completion stage, and it readies the building for occupancy.

In the morning, at P4 site, it had been noticed that there was a MSCL pipe disturbing the work of burying the street lights foundation.
Contractor, Khidmat Hijau Sdn Bhd had been informed to remove any obstacles nearby immediately.
Further penalty which is fine will be taken if there is no action from the contractor as it became hindrance for other contractors to continue work progress.
There was a weekly meeting from 4pm to 6pm in the evening.
Weekly report on work progress had been done by each module's PIC.
Dr. Chen Ai Lu also gave his comment on recent incidents, such as prioritizing the file processing, verifying the drawings, comparing the drawing with on-site condition, identifying red line etc.
For Golf's Project, daily water consumption and water pressure are required to be supervised day by day.
Meeting and discussion with SAJ are necessary to solve the problem on insufficient water supply for Golf Hotel, labour camp and nearby facilities.
Several personnel arrangements were made because there will be new colleagues coming soon.

For the progress of the main water meter stand of Golf Hotel, coordination with the Golf Hotel authority had been done to install extra pump.
This is to solve the problem of increasing daily water consumption.
After checkin the water consumption condition, hotel used 900 m3, labour camp used 100 m3 and golf course used 3000 m3.
We followed the following time frame to do relative arrangement :
15 Sept : Materials arrival
16 Sept : Commencement of construction
20 Sept : Completion of construction
25 Sept : Acquisition of water meter stand
02 Oct : Acceptance checking
The time frame shown as above is for the reference of project management only. For our own department's use, the project progress is expected to be runned faster.
