23rd of July
Monday
1. Today my supervisor wanted to make a partition in the office. The partition area will be rented to fragrance vendor.
2. After discussing about the dimension for the new area, we went to local hardware to buy material to make partition.
3. The partition will be made of plywood and U-channel steel.
4. In the evening, other trainee and I start building the structure for the partition.
5. At the end of the day, a few pillars able to be installed.
24th of July
Tuesday
1. Continue partition works progress.
2. Made beams and supports for the partition steel structure.
3. Trusses for the structure were also made.
4. Plywood were screwed to the frame to make the wall.
25th of July
Wednesday
1. Made additional frame to cover top of the partition.
2. Screwed plywood to the top frame to cover it.
26th of July
Thursday
1. Installed lamp to illuminate the new area.
2. Total of 3 LED fluorescent lamp were installed to give enough illumination.
3. LED lamp were chosen because it didn't required starter and choke.
27th of July
Friday
1. Did some touch up on the partition wall. There were gaps between the wall that made the partition look funny.
2. What I did to re touch up the wall were:
i. Stick self adhesive gauze tape on top of the gap. This was to make a foundation to cover the gap.
ii. Spread wall plaster on top of the gauze tape.
iii. Paint the plaster white after it has dried.
28th of July
Saturday
1. Cover the new area floor with carpet.
2. Brings in office desk, glass shelf and drawer into the new area.
3. Made a finishing touch up and cleaning work for the new area.
