  • Brief by Mr Norramin Jenal (Deputy Plan Approval Manager) regarding the comment of general arrangement.
  • Being teach by Mr Amin how to use the MARS software (bulkhead) and how to get the result.
  • For the bulkhead, we can create from frame if the drawing is the same.

(Tuesday)

 

  • Continue doing the Mars software until complete5 frame and 3 bulkheads.
  • The following frame are the section that I choose: 3, 8, 22, 38 and 44. The bulkhead that I choose is bulkhead on frame 7, 23 and 39.

**The stiffeners which faced in the tank filled such as ballast water is more critical than void tank.

·          **Gross scantling= net scantling + corrosion addition

(Wednesday)

·         Being teach by Mr Afiq about the results in MARS

·         Asked by Mr Amin to fully understand how the result came from the rule by showing one plate, one ordinary stiffeners and one primary stiffeners from bottom, deck, side, 2 longitudinal bulkheads.

·         Start to read the rule and prove the value in excel.

·         Proving the value obtained from MARS (general information) including:

-          Rule coefficients

Navigation coefficient(n), Froude number, Wave parameter

-          Ship motions

Ship relative motion (h)

Ship absolute motion (surge, sway, heave, yaw, roll and pitch acceleration)

(Friday)

·         Proving the value obtained from MARS (bottom, side, deck, bulkhead plating) including:

-          Hull girder bending stress

-          Still water pressure

-          Wave pressure

-          Sigma x1

-          Thickness load

-          Thickness testing
