Work Week: 1 (Date: 11 – 15 June 2018)

11 June

·         On 11 June 2018, I had been reported to office at 8.00 am.

·         After filling in some document to process, I had been introduced to plan approval department.

·         As my supervisor, Mr Ch’ng Poh Weng (manager of plan approval department) is not around, I had been taking care by the colleagues.

·         Later, Miss Farah Luyiana Zurda Rief (Human Recourse Executive) brief me regarding the working hours, attire, Code of Ethics etc and getting sign from me.

·         Briefing by Myra Idora Mohd Ali (Marine Surveyor & Plan Approval) regarding the QHSE (Quality Health Safety Environment) including:

a)      Emergency exit

b)      Safety induction especially when to survey in port or yard

c)      BV logo cannot be edited or modify

d)     Report the near miss cases

e)      HIRARC, etc

·         Read a book (Rule for the Classification of steel ship: Part A- Classification and Surveys) given.

12 June

·         I have meet and brief by Mr Norramin Jenal (Deputy Plan Approval Manager) regarding Rule of Classification Society.

d)     Introduction to Plan Approval

e)      Maritime Statutory Regulations

·         Asked me to fully understand the book (Rule for the Classification of steel ship: Part A-Classification and Surveys) especially Chapter 1&4 and list down my expectation and achievement after 3 months.

·         Inserted my thumb print in the system by IT department as my attendance.

13 June

·         Discuss the homework (expectation and achievement) with Mr Amin.

·         I had been given a previous classification job (Piling Barge) as a task to class the barge regarding the barge’s arrangement and hull.

·         Brief by Mr Amin on the book -Rule for the Classification of steel ship: Part B- Hull and Stability.

·         Start doing the assignement by checking the whether the barge complied with the BV rule (book)

(8.30 am – 1.00pm)

·         Continue to study the book- Rule for the Classification of steel ship: Part B &D to check the barge.

·         Writing report based on what I studied.
