All faculty of Mechanical Engineering undergraduate students are compulsory to attend 12 weeks of Industrial Training during the period of their studies. This training is a part of teaching course that provides students with exposure to the industrial world where all the theories learnt on campus will be applied.

Job Description
1. Familiarization to BV Steelships rule and scope of classification
2. Assisting Plan Approval engineers in daily work including administrative (may incl. stamping, incorporating comments),
3. Familiarization of using BV software (MARS, Rudder, Veristar Stabiity),

4. Doing manual calculation and comparing with the software result.
5. Equipment inspection under BVN - technical review (familiarization to BV scope and applicable rule).
6. On the completion, intern student need to present the full scope of BV for LPO scope (specifically) and other intervention (generally) including design assessment on given sample ship during the intern period.
