After completing PSDA project 2, I have improved both my soft skills and hard skills. In this project, I am required to cooperate with other groupmates to make our project complete successfully. The work we do the first was searching for the secondary data from various internet resources and choosing one that fits our case study. We finally found a dataset that fits our study from Kaggle online website with our determination. The dataset is about the insurance charges based on different variables such as ages, gender and so on. The purpose of our case study is to investigate whether there is a relationship between the variables ages, sex (gender), BMI, smoker and region with insurance charges. After that, we divide our tasks fairly among us to complete our project source code, report and video. During the process, we discussed and helped one another to check each other’s code.

For this project, we are required to perform the data analysis by using R programming languages. This project pushes us to self-learning R-coding to complete the inferential statistic. Through this, I gain more knowledge about the ways to conduct the hypothesis testing and interpret the result. Apart from that, I also learned the way to do well in time management to complete the project within the given time.

As a Data Engineering student, I appreciate anything that learns in this course, especially in this project as I am exposed to data analysis knowledge such as inferential statistics which may be very useful in my future either in conducting research or enhancing job opportunity. Lastly, I am here to express my gratitude to my lecturer, Dr. Nor Azizah Ali for her guidance which makes us able to successfully implement the code and complete the project on time.

From 7th industrial talk, I exposed with the knowledges about data visualisation and also types of the data, data relationships and chart types. This industrial talk also give me an oppoturnity to have a look around on Microsoft Power Bi which is a useful data visualisation tools for creating a simple and complete data interface or report. This data interface was easily understood and help a company to analyze and make better decisions. It also helps to speed up development of the company. To conclude that, data visualization was a vital tool for every different sectors' development.

This industrial was very informative and helpful for me to complete my fourth assignment in this course with my groupmate.

My opinion whether every company should shift to Cloud Computing.

Nowadays, the advance in the technologies enhance the competitive between the companies. From my perspective, I think that every company should shift to Cloud Computing as it will reult in a higher individual and team performance since all of the staff members can easily share data and collaborate to complete projects even from different locations. Besides that, there are also some advantages such as reduced cost, flexibility, scalability and security which can able to enhance the development of companies.

My opinion whether every computer science/UTM student should learn Cloud Computing (get the AWS badge).

I think every computer science student should learn Cloud Computing because this will helps the students to equip with a useful knowledges about the cloud computing and improve their potential, technique and knowledge to become a competitive and ready graduate for the future employment. This will help our country to generate more prepared graduate in cloud computing area in order to speed up our countries development in different sectors.

Advice to my friends who have not get the AWS badge yet.

Don't hesitate! Come to learn and I am sure it will benefits you all!

My direction after completing the badge.

After completing AWS badge, I will trace and getting know into other 4IR technologies such as Artificial Intelligence(AI), Big Data and Analytics, Internet of Things(IoT) and so on.  I also plan to do my revision about the AWS cloud computing in my free time in order to strengthen my knowledges.

My opinion about getting the AWS badge that is included in SECP1513 subject.

I am strongly agree and feel very appreciate of getting the AWS badge that is included in SECP1513 subject. It was successfully broaden and widen the my vision and knowledge about AWS Cloud Computing as it provided many easily understood video and lab for practical. Thus, I am now be able to benefits this knowledges in my future. 

A summary of what I have gained from completing the course (get a badge)

After completing this course, I gain a lot of useful knowledge about the AWS and seek an overall understanding of the cloud computing concept,  AWS core services, security, architecture, pricing, and support. This course also enhance my acknowledges on type of AWS services and how to run it. For instances, I become more familiar with type of services that few domain that are widely used such as Compute, Storage, Database, Network and Content Delivery, Management Tools and Security & Identity Compliance. 

My motivation to complete this project

My motivation to complete this project have been stimulate after participating in the 3rd industrial talk by Dr Qusay Al-Maatouk on the Amazon Web Services(AWS) and cloud computing. From the talk, I get to know the advantages brings over by the cloud computing and become interested to AWS cloud computing. It was really enjoyable to study this course.

My opinion whether getting the badge is easy or difficult and which modul is the easiest/most difficult.

In my opinion, getting the badge is easy as the AWS course have provides video which have a clear explanation about the topic. The teaching video with the informative slides makes me easier to understanding what the lecturer delivered. The most difficult modul is modul 6 about the compute services as there too many things to learn. So, I take lots of time to understand deeply about these.

What’s a badge worth?

The badge worth with a lot of useful knowledge on how to handle and run the services on the AWS cloud computing. Undeniably, this knowledge will be very useful for every students who participate in this course to improve their competitive and also employability in the next future.

My feedback whether getting the badge improve knowledge and skills on Cloud Computing.

Yes, getting the badge really make me have a significant improve in my knowledge and skills on cloud computing. I not only know the benefits of cloud computing but also learn to be able to manipulate and run the AWS core services after learning from the console demonstration and the lab. Now, I become able to utilizing the AWS services and this skills will be my another useful equipment for future employment.

After the announcement of the UPU result, I feel excited and feel appreciate that I been choosen as the Data Engineering student at University Teknologi Malaysia. I will keep on struggling for a bright future. 

My goal/dream concerning your course/program

My ambitions is to graduate with a better result and become a data profesionalist in the future. In order to fulfil my dream, I will keep on struggling throughout the all semester.

My action/improvement/plan for improving my potential in the industry

I plan to participating in many of the non-academic program in order to improve my soft skills such as communicating skills, entrepreneurship skills, leadership skills and so on which will be very useful in my future employment. I also will keep on studying smart thoughout the 8 semester in the university for a better equipping myself with more hard skills.

My opinion on whether TIS subject contributes to my knowledge on specific area

On my perspective of sight, I think that Technology and Information System course will contributes to my knowledge on specific area as this course provide many useful information about various of the technologies thouhgout the industrial talks that were organized. It give me chance to more understand the new trend of technologies. I think that it also will be a good basic for me in this Data Engineering course and bring me towards the road of success.
