VOLUNTEERING FOR EKSPRESI PRIHATIN VETERAN ATM NEGARAKU BY IM4U.

                              IMG_20180325_124926_325.jpg.1

On the 25th of March 2018, my friends and I became a volunteer for a program called Ekspresi Prihatin Veteran Atm Negaraku by IM4U. It is a program to celebrate our heroes who are willing to sacrifice their lives in order to ensure the safety of our country. There were many activities during the program, such as cooking competition, a talk with the soldiers and many more. We helped the organizers to ensure the program to run smoothly. I helped to organize the goodies to be given to the soldiers and became a helper in the cooking competition. My team obtained number one in the competition.

                                                   IMG_20180325_113518_039.jpg.1

We had fun volunteering while learning a lot of lesson from the program. I hope more programs like this could be conducted to raise awareness on the sacrification made by our the heroes of our country.

MY EXPERIENCE PARTICIPATING AN E-PORTFOLIO COMPETITION

During our class with Dr. Nabilah, she told us that she has listed a few names to participate in an E-Portfolio Competition. I am one of the participants that were chosen by Dr. Nabilah. At first, I was confused, because I am not really sure on how to start doing my E-Portfolio. Dr. Nabilah also conducted a session for us to understand more about the competition.

Later that day, I learned by myself how to edit my e-portfolio, how to add pictures, and more. At first, it was quite confusing. But, as I learned more, I felt like I have adapted to the system. And starting from that day, I always open my e-portfolio and edit them for the competition.

A few weeks after we submitted our e-portfolio, I received a message saying that I need to attend the Prize Giving Ceremony in UTM Johor Bahru. Coincidentally, I was in Johor Bahru to visit my hometown. So, I went straight from my house to UTMJB. After I arrived at the location stated, I met with my fellow classmates and we went up to register. We waited until it is our turn to receive the ceremony.

Alhamdulillah. I received the 3rd prize for the 3rd Year E-Portfolio Competition. I am very happy with the results.

Non-Isothermal Reaction In Class Activity

On the 16th December, Dr. Nabilah has given us a group project regarding the topic that is in our syllabus of Steady-State Non-isothermal Reactor Design. The project is about the example 8-3 that can be found on page 490 in our textbook. The project requires us to present the solution for the example and possibly even uses and explain the solution using the polymath.

First meeting after receiving the appointed projects

Some of the tasks are being the photographer, videographer, presenter, polymath unit, a manual calculation unit, compiler, and even a Q&A unit. All of the group members discussed who is the best to be assigned to a certain unit and all of the members are satisfied with the distribution. The meeting was led by our leader, John Peter and our vice leader, Maisarah.

The presentation started with a brief introduction on the members and their respective roles by our group leader, John Peter. The explanation for the solution were later started with the manual calculation part and followed by polymath calculation. All the presenters give their best to make sure all class members to fully understand the solution for the problem by explaining it in detail and care.

A few questions were occasionally asked between the explanation by Dr. Nabilah and some of the class members regarding the problem. The Q&A unit was given the responsibility for answering for that sessio

This project has definitely taught us a lot about teamwork and enhances our understanding of this Steady-State Non-isothermal Reactor Design topic. Hopefully, there are more projects like this that will help us in increasing our understanding of certain topics.

MY REFLECTIONS ON MY FIRST YEAR AS A STUDENT IN UTMKL.

" Changes are hard at first, Messy in the middle, But BEAUTIFUL in the end. "

After I finished my diploma in UniKL MICET, I decided to continue my degree in a public university. And I got into UTM KL. But, during my first semester, I was struggling really hard to cope up with my studies and also my social life. Fortunately, I met so many friends who are willing to help me to cope up here in UTM KL. So, during my second year, I do feel a bit better but there are still struggles here and there. But again, what is life without struggles, right? But the one thing I really like it here in UTM KL, is the lecturers are willing to help the students as much as they can especially in terms of our studies. Therefore, I am willing to try my very best  to became a successful student and engineer. Do pray for me laughing

MY THERMODYNAMICS PRESENTATION

On the 1st of June 2018, my group members and I did a presentation on Sustainable Energy. Our section were assessed by Prof. Dr. Masafumi Goto. In the presentation, we discussed on the types of sustainable energy and how to sustain them. I had a great time discussing the topic with my group mates. Every one of us gave so many idea for this project. we had a great teamwork between us. cool

One of the picture we took after the presentation.

During the presentation, I also learned a lot from Prof. Dr. Masafumi Goto. We are given 10 minutes to present our presentation and he always emphasize on the punctuality for each presentation. Other than that, Prof Goto also gives us more information on the types of sustainable energy. By doing this presentation, I am feeling more confident on presenting in front of others in the future.
