Event Description
OPERA' 2021 is organized to introduce students outside Kolej Tun Dr.Ismail of the culture in KTDI college. There are various activities that were being held such as a skincare talk, an e-games competition, and a photography competition. I was assigned to handle the main event which is KTDI GOT TALENT, which represents the rich talents of participants from various backgrounds. Since the campus is still in lockdown during 2021, the event is held online for three days consecutively. KTDI GOT Talent session begins by opening a Google Form registration for 2 weeks. Once participants have submitted the required credentials, the pre-assessment process was conducted whereby the performance video is judged by committee members. After that, the top 5 performances were displayed during the opening ceremony and a further assessment was conducted by the selected guests. The top 3 performances were announced during the closing ceremony and granted hefty funds accordingly.
Self-Reflection
What I learned from handling OPERA 2021 is the experience of learning new things along the way. I understand the formal way of creating Google Forms for event registration as well as evaluating the performances. I have also improved my self-esteem and managed to voice out my thoughts during the post-mortem session of team progress which includes issues faced. Furthermore, I also learn how to manage my time accordingly and balanced the need to focus on my study and also the event. Hence, my self-awareness has been better ever since and I am able to plan effectively for meetings. Overall, I am very satisfied with myself to become part of the team and handle the event successfully.

Leadership and Teamworking Skills
Being in charge to handle the main event is a huge challenge for me as a starter. I manage to understand the task assigned and seek assistance if the task I did was correct or not. I am also required to lead the participants and explain the rules and regulations of the event. I ensure that the participants understand them and answer any of the questions given in a proper manner. Hence, I believe that my teamwork skill improved since I am working with new people and am able to understand their strengths and weaknesses.
Adaptability
In my opinion, I feel that the event challenges me a lot, especially in terms of time management. The team was constrained in time and had to work at a faster pace with excellent productivity. Moreover, I also need to adapt myself to work from home since there were various external factors that caused me to procrastinate hastily. Consequently, I manage to adapt to the tense environment of preparing for the event which then provides a healthier mentality of what I am capable to do.
