Over the past couple of weeks, my team and I have been working on Project 2. The objective of this project is to analyze the data collected from Kaggle and the National Statistics cluster from a Malaysian government website to find out what factors influenced the use of illicit drugs in 2017. In addition to the details of the applications that were available on the Google Play Store, the data also includes statistics about the types of drugs that were used and the reasons for their usage. Through the course, I have been able to gain a deeper understanding of how to analyze the data collected by Kaggle. In addition, I have been able to learn how to use the R programming language. This project also allowed me to practice using the software thoroughly.
This project helps me to improve my skills in using R programming software and enhance my knowledge of chapters 5 to 8. As a team, we encounter a lot of problems such as compiling the program and calculating several calculations regarding the project. Luckily my teammates help me solve the problem. For my part, I did the chi-square test, I did encounter problems such as the data was not suitable. I did find another dataset for the chi-square test and found it was suitable for the chi-square test. For a potential computer science engineer, problem-solving skills are essential since they help create strategic and tactical plans to address challenges and manage situations. Recognizing the problem is the first step in this problem-solving process, which also includes creating, implementing, and assessing potential solutions' efficacy.
Finally, this project help us enhance our ability in coding in R programming. This project helps us to become closer to our teammates by helping out each other. All in all, this subject is my favorite subject out of all subjects, and I believe this course does help the other students as well to improve their skills I am confident this project help us to understand the topic in this subject better and would be helping a lot for the final examination.
My AWS Journey
Hello! I would love to share the journey of getting the AWS badge.
How do you get the badge? the learning path from know nothing about AWS until you get the AWS badge, the process of learning, exploration and understanding.
To receive the badge as proof that we completed the online courses, we must complete all the online courses. Because I am unfamiliar with AWS, cloud computing is new for me. The module was quite beneficial, and I now have a thorough understanding of AWS. Fortunately, the video was intelligible and short enough for students to watch. Cloud computing is the delivery of IT services over the Internet on-demand and on a pay-as-you-go basis. You may rent computing power, storage, and databases from a cloud provider on an as-needed basis rather than acquiring, managing, and maintaining physical data centers and servers. AWS Academy Cloud Foundations, on the other hand, is for students interested in learning about cloud computing ideas.
when do you start ?how do you complete the 10 modules, how long it took for you to complete the 10 modules,
I started my AWS journey on 6 December 2021 and I finished it on 23 December 2021. It took me 3 weeks to complete all the 10 modules. I started with making a schedule and consistency to complete at least 3 modules per week.
What does the badge look like?
My Reflection For AWS
A summary of what you have gained from completing the course (get a badge)
I learned a lot about cloud computing after taking the AWS course and also earning the badge. I learned about cloud concepts, AWS core services, security, architecture, pricing, and support in general and in-depth. Cloud Concept Overview, Cloud Economics and Billing, AWS Global Infrastructure, AWS Cloud Security, Networking and Content Delivery, Compute, Storage, Database, Cloud Architecture, Auto Scaling, and Monitoring are among the ten modules I have learned. Overall, each module requires a thorough reading, making it simpler to comprehend, and the lab assisted me in gaining a deeper understanding of AWS. It also allows customers to deploy their software in several areas throughout the world with only a few clicks. It is a beneficial service since you only pay for what you need and there are no long-term obligations. We don't have to spend money on data centers because AWS services are simple to handle. Apart from that, it enables businesses and startups to leverage well-known operating systems, programming paradigms, and databases. In addition, it has hybrid capabilities which allow for the quick addition or removal of capacity. It will be significantly less expensive than other private servers.
Your motivation to complete this project?
My motivation to complete this project is i want to gain as much knowledge as I can. From my understanding, knowledge is understanding and awareness of something. It refers to the knowledge, facts, abilities, and wisdom gained from life experiences and study. Knowledge is a vast idea with no limit. Cognitive processes, communication, perception, and reasoning all play a role in knowledge acquisition. It also refers to a person's ability to recognize and accept the truth. Knowledge can be used for personal advancement as well as the advancement of a community, city, state, or nation. I want myself to be fulfilled with as much knowledge so it would be easier for me to deal with any upcoming problems in my life.
Your opinion whether getting the badge is easy or difficult? Which module is the easiest/most difficult
Learning AWS and obtaining the badge after three weeks since the modules are simple to grasp and the videos for each module are short, beneficial, and understandable. Module 1 is the most approachable because it gives me a broad understanding of cloud computing as well as some AWS facts. Modules 6 and 7 are the most difficult and time-consuming since they take a long time to complete and require a great deal of knowledge to be kept.
What’s a badge worth?
The value of this badge is immeasurable. Our dedication is reflected in this badge. We devote our time and effort to get the badge . The AWS Academy course, on the other hand, is a lifelong learning experience. This course exposes you to the actual world of cloud computing, therefore the work you put in to get the badge will be well worth it. AWS certification confers recognition to credentialed personnel, as previously said. The AWS Certified Global Community is one of the most valuable AWS certification perks. You can discover possibilities to extend your professional network as well as develop it in the community.
Feedback whether getting the badge improve your knowledge and skills on Cloud Computing
I've got a better understanding of how to cope with massive volumes of data as a result of earning the AWS badge. Furthermore, completing the AWS course has enhanced my knowledge of cloud computing, particularly regarding large cloud computing organizations and how individuals have switched from traditional data storage to cloud computing, which is less expensive and simpler to maintain. I was able to develop my cloud computing abilities by doing practical activities in certain courses that helped me remember their function and knowing what it is for.
Your opinion whether every company should shift to Cloud Computing?
I think other companies should shift to cloud computing because it reduced costs. Establishing and running a data center is expensive. The companies need to purchase the right equipment and hire technicians to install and manage the center. When the companies shift to cloud computing, they will only pay for the services procured. Hence, they can choose a package that suits their budget and save costs. Next, its flexibility is one of the major benefits of cloud computing is mobility. The service gives their employees the flexibility to work from any location. Employees can complete their tasks at home or from the field. Besides it have a lot of benefits from data security, a wide range of options for the services, and others which is beneficial.
Your opinion whether every computer science/UTM student should learn Cloud Computing (get the AWS badge?).
Every student in a Science Computer course, in my opinion, should master cloud computing and obtain the AWS badge. It's a free curriculum that gives you access to information, training, and AWS services. AWS Educate is a self-paced learning platform that introduces young learners to cloud computing skills that drive innovation in industries like artificial intelligence, voice and face recognition, and more. Cloud computing facilitates the successful and efficient start-up of a new business. As a result, the badge is worthwhile because it attracts the employer's attention and may be used to our resume. By certifying the cloud abilities with industry-recognized credentials, AWS Certification helps us gain trust and confidence of the companies to hire us.
Any advice to your friends who have not get the AWS badge yet?
Please take advantage of the opportunity to earn an AWS badge if you haven't yet. It provides us with several advantages that will help us in our future employment. Employees with the necessary cloud abilities are also in high demand as cloud technologies grow in popularity.
What is your direction after completing the badge?
I was aiming to earn another AWS certification after this one, such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty, AWS Certified Database, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator and AWS Solutions Architect. One approach to becoming a data engineering specialist is to obtain this certification. I am going to participate in future Amazon-sponsored courses, this will allow me to expand my expertise in these areas.
Your opinion about getting the AWS badge that is included in SECP1513 subject
Overall, earning the badge in the SECP1513 subject was a golden opportunity, which I had no prior awareness about cloud computing. Students have been taught cloud computing for industry-recognized certifications and high-demand cloud jobs. Every student should make the most of this essential information and experience to land a decent career and a bright future in the cloud computing business. Finally, understanding AWS at an early level provides a strong fundamental of cloud computing and serves as a springboard to other types of cloud computing.
