Hello! My name is Syed Muhammad but you can call me Syed. I born in Melaka but live in Johor Bahru since 2013. I am 21 years old. I have disabilities in terms of physical but this condition will not stop me to become a successful person. Since I was a kid, I always never give up and put a lot of effort to chase my dream. Now, I am studying Business Management (Technology) at the faculty of Azman Hashim International Business School, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) for Bachelor Degree and I'm now in year 1. I'm a type of person that love to play games and watch movies because that is what I do when I have a free time.

My reflection as year 1 in UTM

In year 1, i have gone through a lot of experiences and challenges which is important for me because I’m new in university life. All the lecturers in semester 1 & semester 2 has help a lot in order for me to get through these two semester smoothly without having a lot of issues. During semester 1, all the lecturers has understand my condition so they are very flexible in terms of deadline assignment, the way I’m answering exam like having an extra time and etc. I managed to complete all of my assignments without exceeded the due date. There was once I become a leader in Principles of Marketing and the task was to promote a product given by lecturer. So, I promote the product spontaneously and manage to did it well. After that, I entered semester 2. The challenges in this semester were a lot more than semester 1 because all the assignments were given at the same time. So, time management is very important and the was the key for myself to balance my lifestyle. I managed to arrange things and finished my assignments in stages so that I can have a rest. Now, I’m currently at the end of semester 2. I can conclude that I did well in balancing between academic and entertainment. The lecturers in semester 2 also helps me to get through this challenging semester.
This workshop really give me a lot of important knowledges about excel and power bi. These 2 tools are so important because the usage is worldwide. I managed to learn new features that I don’t know such as on how to create pivot table. In future, I can create data in Excel without having problems. Besides that, the teacher also have done a good job in order to make students including me to understand in detail about those 2 tools.
This assignment really teach me a lot on how to be a good member in a team. As my first assignment as a team, I try my best to adapt with this new surroundings. All the other members in the group also give a full contribution to complete the assignment. This assignment is about marketing which we as a group need to use our product that is given by our lecturer to promote. We need to explain in a form of mind map about the suggestion to market our product which is glow bracelet. Whenever my leader instruct me to complete my part, I finish it early so that I don’t have worry after that because I don’t like to do assignment in last minute.
This assignment really testing my capabilities in financial management skills. I need to identify a company record of financial and collect all the data in order to analyze it. This assignment is in group so teamwork and communication is the key for us to complete this task. During the assignment date, I did all my part and give all of my effort to this assignment so that I can deliver a good quality of work. When my leader give instructions to me, I will instantly do what my leader ask me to do. This is because I don’t like to do tasks late. Besides that, I also learn a lot of valuable things such as my view about economics report, company report and etc. My lecturer also did a very well job in order to make us as a student to understand on how to do this assignment and tips on how to get a good mark.
FM ALUMNI TALK SERIES SESSION 3/23 - MY JOURNEY FROM UTM TO SUCCESSFUL CAREER IN FINANCIAL & ESTATE PLANNING BUSINESS

On November 6, 2023, I joined a physical programme in the convention hall, Faculty Management. The speaker is an alumni of UTM, where he takes the same course as me, which is a bachelor degree of Management (Technology). He shared his experience taking this course and how it has helped him in his career. He emphasized the importance of practical skills gained through internships and projects, which have given him a competitive edge in the job market. After he graduated, he entered his working field immediately and was able to secure a high-paying job at a reputable company. He also mentioned the strong network of alumni from UTM, which has opened up numerous opportunities for him throughout his career. After that, he opened his own company and became a successful entrepreneur. He attributed his entrepreneurial success to the solid foundation and knowledge he gained from this course, as well as the continuous support. His company has thrived in the industry, thanks to the practical skills and connections he acquired during his time at UTM. Overall, his speech inspired me to actively seek out internships and projects during my studies to enhance my practical skills and increase my chances of success in the job market.
PERJUMPAAN PELAJAR PA PM DR UNGKU NORULKAMAR U. AHMAD

On November 2nd, 2021, I joined an online meeting with my academic advisor. She, PM DR Ungku Norulkamar U. Ahmad, did a breaking session with me and my friends in order to get to know each other very well. It was a great experience, as we had the opportunity to share our academic goals and aspirations with her. Even though it is an online meeting only, I manage to feel a strong connection with my academic advisor. Her warm and friendly demeanour made me feel comfortable opening up about my academic concerns and seeking guidance. Despite the virtual setting, I could sense her genuine interest in helping me succeed, and I left the meeting feeling motivated and supported in my educational journey. She also provided valuable insights and guidance on how to make the most of our academic journey. I appreciated her proactive approach to addressing potential challenges that will be faced by me as a disabled student and offering practical solutions. Her expertise and knowledge in the field were excellent, and I am confident that her guidance will greatly contribute to my academic growth and success.

On December 18, 2021, I joined an e-sport competition that was held by my senior batch. They provide opportunities for us to show our capabilities when playing the game, Powerline.io. The game is not only about fun; it also tests our reflection and patience when we want to defeat the opponent. The rule of the game is that we, as the players, become snakes and must make sure that we cannot touch other snakes' bodies. The competition was intense, with players strategizing and maneuvering their snakes to avoid collisions. It required quick thinking and precise control to navigate through the maze-like arena. The adrenaline rush was obvious as each player, including me, aimed to become the last snake standing and claim victory in the tournament to win prizes. I managed to get to the 5th stage, which is the second-last stage of the tournament. It was a great experience, as it was the first e-sport competition I ever joined in my entire life.
