On 23rd October 2019, we had conducted an experiment about electrical measurement in an Electronic Lab. This experiment is in a group which my group members are Haqim and Hilman. This experiment consist of two parts which the first part is to measure current and voltage using electrical and electronic instruments and the second part is to measure resistance using Wheatstone's bridge.
For the first part, we are required to search Rx using the circuit given (Image 1) by using mathematical method and digital multimeter. Firstly, we measure the currents (Ia, Ib, Ic) by connecting the ammeter to the resistor in series and measure the voltages (Va, Vb) by connecting the voltmeter to the resistor in parallel. Then, we calculate the value of Rx by using the value of voltages and currents that we had measured. The value that we get is 323.33 and the value that we get using digital multimeter is 326.3. The percentage error that we get is 0.91% so we can conclude that the way we calculate voltages and currents are correct.

For the second part, we need to identify the value of resistance ( ) when the Wheatstone’s Bridge is in balance condition using mathematic approach and digital multimeter. In order to balance the Wheatstone’s Bridge, we change the value of until the digital multimeter shows zero value. The value of using mathematic approach is 17.7kΩ while using digital meter is 11.5kΩ.

Lastly, I am glad that I had experienced conducting this experiment as I can apply what I had learned in class. As we know, the second and third topic is about electrical measurements and now I already know the right way to measure current, voltage and resistance using analog instrument. This type of experiment is really helpful for students as we can experienced in handling tools such as using the board. Thank you Dr. Anita for being a helpful lecturer and always guide us.
