As always our class is at 2 o’clock on Wednesday with Dr.Marlina, on 16th of October 2019, it was our third class and we were talking about effective communication skills. Why is this is important to be discuss and what is effective communication skills mean. Fist of all we have to discuss with our partner, what does it mean in our opinion, I partner with Ronald and we thought that it mean how people communicate with others and it is crucial because the key of having smooth deal also can make attract more people attention is by doing conversation.
After we spoke with others, our lecture gave us the meaning. Communication is the art of transmitting information, ideas and attitudes from one person to another. Communication is the process of meaningful interaction among human beings. Effective communication occur when the deliver delivery their information or message clearly and the received can respond effectively towards the information. Effective communication does not only about information that we give and received but it is also understanding the emotion and intention behind the information. In communication there are a few common ways we communicate such as written word, body language, spoken words and visual language.
Effective communication skills are fundamental to success in many aspect of life. Many jobs require strong communication skills. People with good communication skills also usually enjoy better interpersonal relationships with friends and family.
There are things that could barriers to communication including Noise, Inappropriate medium, Assumptions/Misconceptions, Emotions, Language differences, Poor listening skills,Distractions. Why emotion could barrier to communication ? it because human have mood when they want to talk with someone, if they don’t happy or enjoy while talking to other, they will not get the way out to solve problems.
How we improve existing level of communication is by improving language and pronunciation, read and listen more, talk using body language and voice modulation, do not speak too fast, just using simple vocabulary, do speak only to impress someone. In addition it is not difficult to improve your communication, just talk with your friends with different topics and try to correct your vocabulary.
When you talk or communicate with others. Body language is important to. Because it will make you more intelligent and people will be attracted by your body language, to improve this skill you just take care of your appearance and keep appropriate distance and also practice in your room it allow your brain to always move your hands and make you more feel confidence.

Membatik Talk Show is one of the event program held by ISS-Indonesia on Saturday, 13 November 2021. i joined as operator during the event, our job was maintained the event as smooth as possible with less possible mistakes. the event is promote indonesian culture which were already known around the world which is batik. Batik is a wax-resist dyeing process that is applied on the entire textile. This method was developed on the Indonesian island of Java. Batik is created by either painting dots and lines in the resist using a spouted instrument known as a canting or printing the resist with a copper stamp known as a cap. Because the wax resists dyes, the artist may color the cloth selectively by soaking it in one color, extracting the wax with boiling water, and repeating the process if various colors are needed. Batik is an Indonesian old art style that uses wax-resistant dyes on cloth. The island of Java's coastline batik (batik pesisir) has a long history of acculturation, a combination of local and other cultures. It's a newer form than inland batik, and it employs more colors, yet the designs are more simpler. This is due to the fact that inland batik was traditionally manufactured by a small group of specialists who lived in palace locations, but seaside batik may be done by everyone. Thus, For Indonesians, batik is highly significant, and many people wear it to official and informal gatherings. Indonesians employ batik in a variety of rituals, ceremonies, customs, festivities, and even everyday life. UNESCO designated batik (written batik (batik tulis) and stamped batik (batik cap) as a Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity from Indonesia on October 2, 2009, and encouraged the Indonesian people and government to protect, transmit, promote, and develop batik craftsmanship. Since then, every year on October 2, Indonesia has commemorated "National Batik Day" (Indonesian: Hari Batik Nasional). In appreciation of this old custom, Indonesians now wear batik. from this event we promotes and make games with invited guess from disability foundation in Malaysia. out event went well and the kids from disability foundation were exited to learned how to batik were made.
