Reflection UTM Career Carnival 2023

As a participant in the UTM Career Carnival 2023, I had a valuable and enriching experience that allowed me to gain insights, enhance my skills, and connect with potential employers and industry professionals. Here is my self-reflection on the event:

  1. Networking: The career carnival provided an excellent platform for networking. I took full advantage of the opportunity to engage in conversations with representatives from different companies and industry experts. I actively sought to expand my professional network and establish connections that could potentially open doors to future career opportunities.

  2. Career Exploration: The event exposed me to a wide range of industries and career paths. By visiting various exhibitor booths and attending panel discussions, I gained a better understanding of different sectors and the skills and qualifications they require. This exposure helped me clarify my career goals and make more informed decisions about my future.

  3. Skill Enhancement: The workshops and seminars offered during the carnival were highly informative and practical. I attended sessions focused on resume writing, interview techniques, and personal branding, among others. These workshops equipped me with valuable skills and knowledge to enhance my employability and stand out in the competitive job market.

  4. Confidence Building: Participating in the job fair and engaging in conversations with potential employers allowed me to develop my confidence in presenting myself professionally. Through mock interview sessions and receiving feedback from professionals, I gained valuable insights into my strengths and areas for improvement. This experience boosted my confidence in future job interviews and interactions with employers.

  5. Takeaways and Action Plan: Reflecting on my experience at the UTM Career Carnival, I have identified areas where I can further improve and take action. I plan to work on refining my resume based on the insights gained from the resume clinic. Additionally, I will focus on developing my skills in areas that are highly sought after by employers in my desired field.

StartUp Reflection

Participating in StartUP '23 as the Vice Treasurer was an invaluable experience that allowed me to develop and enhance several important skills and attributes. Here are my key reflections from this role:

  1. Financial Management: As the Vice Treasurer, I gained firsthand experience in budgeting, financial planning, and tracking revenue and expenses. This opportunity helped me develop a strong understanding of financial management principles and practices. I learned to prioritize expenditures, anticipate financial needs, and make informed decisions to ensure financial sustainability.

  2. Attention to Detail and Accuracy: Managing the financial aspects of the event required meticulous attention to detail and accuracy. I had to ensure that financial records were maintained accurately and that all financial transactions were properly documented. This experience enhanced my ability to work with precision and maintain a high level of accuracy in financial matters.

  3. Communication and Collaboration: Effective communication was vital in my role as the Vice Treasurer. I collaborated closely with the Treasurer, organizing committee, booth participants, and other stakeholders. I developed excellent interpersonal and communication skills, learning to convey financial information clearly and concisely and foster effective collaboration within the team.

  4. Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Throughout the event, unexpected challenges or financial discrepancies may have arisen. As the Vice Treasurer, I had to employ problem-solving skills and adapt to changing circumstances swiftly. Computing Gala Reflection

Participating in the Computing Gala as the Vice Secretary has been an incredibly fulfilling experience, allowing me to contribute to the celebration of excellence within our faculty and fostering my personal growth in various ways. Throughout my involvement, I had the opportunity to develop and refine numerous graduate attributes that will undoubtedly benefit me in my academic and professional pursuits.

One of the key attributes I gained from this event is leadership skills. As the Vice Secretary, I was entrusted with a leadership role within the organizing committee. This responsibility provided me with a platform to enhance my leadership abilities by effectively coordinating and guiding team members. I learned to delegate tasks, motivate others, and foster a collaborative environment where everyone's contributions were valued. Through this experience, I gained valuable insights into the different facets of leadership and the importance of leading by example.

Communication and interpersonal skills are vital attributes that I significantly developed during my role as the Vice Secretary. SECP1513 (TECHNOLOGY AND INFORMATION SYSTEM)

Through studying this course which is technology and information system (TIS), I have learned many new technology and have a deeper understanding about the technology. I also found that this course is very interesting because can learn about the knowledge about computer and many useful knowledge about computer. I also like to say thank you to our lecturer, MR. Hairudin that has guide us through this semester and motivate us to study well. Not only that, MR Hairudin also help us many not matter in syllabus or in our university life. He has provided many useful information to us and I want to thank he again. Thank you Mr. Hairudin.

AWS ACADEMY CLOUD

After studying the AWS academy cloud, I found that cloud of AWS is friendly user and easy to use. After studying the AWS I have the better understanding what is IR 4.0. With this AWS foundation course i can apply this concept in the assignment of Technology and Information System course. With this AWS foundation course I also understand about how to operate in the cloud computing. With this extra knowledge, I think i can easy get the job after I graduate and get more opppurtunity of job.
