SECR1013 Digital Logic

    For me, digital logic is a subject where I learn about designing electronic devices using logic circuits which are hardware components of a computer and even robots. At first, I did not understand why a computer science student needs to learn digital logic. Now, I finally get it. How someone can be a computer scientist without knowing how a computer is actually designed. This is where digital logic plays its role.

   This subject was challenging at first because it involves a lot of memorizing like the types of gates and how it functions but after understanding the concept of it everything became easier. I really enjoyed the lab sessions as I can gain a hands on and simulation by using software experience on how the logic gates work. I learnt that someone has to be particular while assembling a circuit because one wrong connection can give a totally different result. I am proud of myself because I never slacked off, I paid full attention during class and studied before attending lab sessions so that I don’t make any mistakes. I hope that my hard works will give a rewarding result. Our lecturer Dr. Rashidah is a very passionate teacher and she is one of the reason I am thriving in this subject.

   The skills that I gained from this subject is problem solving skills. I can designed a logic circuit based on given problem and apply the knowledge that I learnt in real life problems. With this skill that I gained, I hope that I can make a contribution to the IT field and also my country with new inventions or innovations in the future. I also wish that I can become a highly skilled IT professional in the future so that I can increase my potential in the industry.
