Recently, I had the opportunity to attend an online program about the Trello app. The program was incredibly informative and provided me with a deeper understanding of the capabilities and potential of the app. I learned about different ways to organize and track tasks and projects, as well as how to use labels, due dates, and attachments to make my workflow more efficient. The program also showed me how to use the app with a team and how to share boards and collaborate with others. The speaker was knowledgeable and provided a lot of examples and real-life scenarios that made the learning experience more engaging and relatable. After the program ended, my mind was filled with a lot of new ideas and strategies that I can immediately apply to my own work. Overall, the seminar was a great learning experience and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to improve their productivity and organization skills using Trello.
During the Movement Control Order (MCO) in May, I and my coursemates have been given a task of 4 people to propose the idea of conducting a program regarding the current issues in Malaysia. In order to complete the task, I have been assigned to distribute the workload among my group. Based on the task that I have been doing, there is so much knowledge that I have gained. By discussing the program, I can see the flow and the requirements needed to conduct a program which is a program that needs to have a clear objective and good implementation if we want the program to fully succeed. Other than that, me and my group have a clear view of how to tackle some of the problems when discussing the program using the SWOT technique. On top of that, the flow of the program must be plan carefully to avoid unexpected issues happen during the program such as the honorable guest, participants, venue and date and etc. All of these components play an important role to make the program succeed. Not just that, the budget that is needed to conduct a program must be realistically based on how much the organization has at that time. If the money to conduct the program is not enough, other efforts are required to ask and find some sponsors from NGOs. Last but not least, my opinion regarding this task is that this task actually somehow gives a brief example or just a slight exposure on how to organize a program. Being a student that needs to compete in this modern world, the experience of conducting events is such a ticket when we apply for a job in the future.
On 24/2/2020, my class has been given an individual assignment by Dr.Wong which required all of us to utilize the knowledge of referencing and citing that has been lectured by Dr.Wong during the previous class. The individual assignment is the writing of 1500 essay on the selected current issue that needs to have citations and references of journals, articles, websites and other sources. Along the process of writing, I have read a lot of academic articles to help me to lengthen my essay about the current issue that I have to write about which is about fake news. There are a lot of ideas and opinions by some academic scholars about the fake news that I have never read before which makes me feel that there are many more things I do not know. And also, when doing this task, it helps me sharpen my ability in doing some reference and citation about other peoples' ideas. Other than that, it also helps me improve my vocabulary in English and my ability to write more in English because I need to know various synonyms for words in other to avoid the act of plagiarism and to attract people to have more interest to read my essay by not repeating same words and use some vogue words in my essay. That's all I have to say about the task in this reflection. Overall, although a bit, I still gain some knowledge from the given individual assignment.
