  1. Mini report

On 29 May of 2021, Exco Kesenian Jawatankuasa Mahasiswa (JKM) KTR conducted an online about Terrarium Decoration presented by Dr. Zulhairun Bin Abdul Karim (Senior Lecturer of Engineering Faculty). The event was held online through Kolej Tun Razak, UTM JB Facebook page starting from 2.00 pm until 4.00 pm. that was opened for public view. The purpose of the online talk was to give an exposure to the UTM students also to the people outside about the Terrarium things. Basically, terrarium is a miniature garden enclosed in a container, typically made of glass or plastic. The container is sealed to create a self-sustaining environment, where plants can grow and thrive. Terrariums can be created using a variety of different containers, such as jars, vases, or even light bulbs, and can include a variety of different plants, such as ferns, succulents, and mosses. They can be designed to mimic different types of environments, such as deserts, rainforests, or even underwater scenes. Terrariums can be a great way to bring a bit of nature into your home or office, and they are relatively low maintenance, making them a great option for people with busy lifestyles or limited space. They can also be a fun and creative hobby, allowing you to experiment with different plants, containers, and designs.

  1. Self-reflection

I attended an online talk about terrariums and it was an incredibly informative and enjoyable experience. The speaker was knowledgeable and passionate about the topic, and they provided a lot of useful information on how to create and care for terrariums. They discussed different types of containers, soil, and plants that can be used in terrariums, as well as tips on how to maintain them. The talk also touched on the benefits of having a terrarium, such as how it can improve air quality, and how it can be a relaxing and therapeutic hobby.

The online format of the talk allowed me to participate from the comfort of my own home, and the use of visuals and live demonstrations made it easy to understand the concepts presented. I also appreciated the Q&A session at the end, which gave me the opportunity to ask specific questions and get personalized advice.

Overall, the online talk about terrariums was a great learning experience and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about this hobby. The speaker was engaging and the information provided was both practical and inspiring, leaving me with a renewed appreciation and interest in terrariums. I am excited to try my hand at creating my own terrarium and I am grateful for the knowledge and inspiration gained from this online talk.
