Week 4 ( 9/8/2020 - 15/8/2020 )

I learned a new thing which is how to conduct a major service. The major service will have additional steps to be done from the normal service:

  • To replace the spark plug with the new one. Firstly, need to remove the engine cover and pull the wire plug from the engine by gripping it as close to the bottom as possible and working it gently and carefully off to reveal the spark plug. Fit the socket wrench with the extension bar and use the ratchet to remove the spark plug from its housing slowly and with caution. After that insert the new plugs and tighten with a ratchet.

  • Change the brake oil & power steering fluid. There are two bottles given for brake oil and one for power steering. First, need to clear out the old brake oil & power steering from the reservoir. Pour the first bottle until empty then clear out it again. This method used to clean all unnecessary dirt inside the reservoir. Lastly, pour the second bottle until at calibrated level.

  • Locate the differential gear oil tank on the vehicle and replace the new oil. There was a hose need to be put on the oil tank then pump the differential gear oil from the storage until it full.

  • Need to change the engine coolant. Before the coolant was poured out, there was an opener that needs to be open for the coolant to be poured out from the tank. Then fill up the new engine coolant while the engine is running until the engine getting hotter then stop the engine.
