Assalamulaikum.

Principle chemical process 2 and again with our Prof Dr Azeman. It’s a please to have him as our lecturer as he thought us principle chemical process 1  before during the first year. Luckily, I pass my PCP1 and can continue with PCP2. I admit that it’s a thought subject, moreover this time it including energy balance and thermodynamic. We are the first batch for this syllabus and I hope that we can do this subject excellently.

             We enter the first class on 11^th sept and our lecturer told us all about this new subject to our courses. It may be easier than before because energy balance but much harder when includes thermo. The first chapter that we learned is Chapter 8, Balance On Non Reactive Process.  And we are still using the old book which is Elementary Principle Of Chemical Process. There are two important thing that I learned in this chapter which are the first law of thermodynamic.

Closed systemQ-W = ^U + ^KE + ^PE

Open system Q-W = ^H + ^KE + ^PE

It seems much easier that what I learned on the last semester. I can understand it much easier, so I hope I can score the upcoming test. There are also some table need to be refer to answer problem in this chapter such as table B1,B2 until B7. Im impressed how these table can help us in calculating many thing. I doenst know the function of the graph before.

The last part that seems hard for me to understand is Psychometric Chart .  It takes time to understand this part better.It is important to know that the chart is only for water and dry air.Now I know how to find dry-bulb temperatue, absolute humidity, relative humidty, dew point, humid volume, wet-bulb temperature, specific enthaphy andenthalphy deviation.

 Lastly is adiabatic humidification. What I know about humidification is it add moisture to the air which increase the absolute humidity while dehumidication is remove the moisture.

 I thinks that all that I want to share about this chapter. It look easy but it takes time to really understand what it is. Exercise also needed. I hope I can improve my understanding by doing the assignments and quizzes given. Lastly, I hope that my journey on this course will be smooth and I can score on the final exam .

Principle Of Chemical Process 1. Neither easy nor hard course actually. At first, i can follow the rythm but as i learn this course more specific it becomes hard for me. I dont blame the lecture nor the course. I think its me myself who lack of skills in relating each topic in a one question. At the first test, it a bit ok for me because i can score it. But as we entred the balance in multiple unit process topic is start getting confuse in some formula in principle. Then, everything goes wrong. I got a really worse mark for my second test and now waiting for the result of the third test. I bet myself than this 3rd test will be the same as the second one. What is the problem here? it is me. I dont blame anyone, either the course, lecture or the question of the test itself. I realised that I can answer the assignment but i dint fully understand it. when the gormat of the question changes, i get confuse with everything. I lost my understanding, and i jut simply answer the test without a knowledge of the solution. As the time left for the final, i hope i could do something to improve myselh in this course. Maybe it sounds impossible as we know the finals is much harder than test . But i will try. I still remembered our Prof Azeman said that we are not ready for PCP2 and we might not pass this PCP1. To be frank, i admitted it. So, i will try my best in finals as it the last chances for me to pass this course. InsyAllah. I wolud like to take this chance, to say a lot of thanks to our lectures Prof Madya Dr Azeman bin Mustafa. Thank do all the knowledge that you had thought to us. You are a great lecturer and maybe it is just me who doesnt perform well. If we ever did anything wrong towards you, please apologize us. Assalamualaikum..
