Introduction
Technology and Information System (TIS) is a course that teaches us about information systems and technology (IS/IT). Various group works and assignments like Design Thinking, allowed students to work together and improve our soft skills such as teamwork and communication skills. Functions of different hardware, internet and systems applications are also learned through assignments such as PC assembly and Cloud Computing. Besides, this course also held multiple online talks for students to have a better understanding of the work field such as Industrial 4.0, The Importance and Trending of IT Project Management and Alumni Sharing Session. My group members are Dafina, Amirah, Rasmin and me.
Reflection
My dream about Technology and Information Systems course is to have the knowledge on how various components with different functions work together to process and store information. Other then that, management of information system is what I always hope to learn in this course as this skill could help me to be able to perform my job more effectively in the future. For instance, with the knowledge and skills I have learnt in this course, I could focus on customer's requirements, be aware of any changes, have quick response to those changes and able to create and distribute information. Thus, the action that I need to take to improve my potential in the industry is to not be procrastinate especially in group works as this will not only affect me but it will delay others' works as well. Besides, I need to have better leadership by volunteering to be the leader in group projects, listen to other's opinions, distribute duties fairly and be guide my group members properly. With the skills and knowledge that I will gain throughout my studies, I believe I will be able to be a good leader with outstanding hard skills and soft skills.
