MAPEK '21

My ability to adapt has been greatly impacted by my involvement in a programme that intended to increase knowledge of all the clubs in UTM and my residential college. This reflection explores how this experience challenged me to embrace change, navigate new environments, and develop a heightened sense of flexibility. Attending the programme gave me the opportunity to learn about a wide variety of clubs and organisations, each of which had its own goals, members, and interests. I have to change my mentality and be willing to explore new areas in order to embrace this diversity. I was able to gain a sense of adaptability while navigating these unfamiliar circumstances because I had to quickly get used to new settings, interact with strangers, and understand club-related material. The experience increased my decision-making flexibility, exposed me to a variety of viewpoints, gave me the opportunity to negotiate unfamiliar surroundings, and emphasised the value of adapting to changing circumstances.
The Student Residential College Committee (JKM) organised the MAPEK '21 programme, also known as Majlis Pengenalan Kelab Kolej Tun Dr. Ismail, for the 2021–2022 academic year in order to create a forum for increasing awareness of all clubs at UTM and at the residential college. The graduate attributes that were focused on are communication skills, leadership and teamworking skills, and adaptability. This programme provided an opportunity for students to get to know the clubs, especially for freshmen from the most recent admissions round. This program's objective was to inspire pupils to learn more actively and bravely by exposing themselves to new experiences. Facebook Live served as the major streaming platform for the programme. On October 28, 2021, at 8:00 p.m., Kolej Tun Dr. Ismail Principal, Lieutenant Colonel Professor Madya Dr. Mohd Noor Azli Bin Hj. Ali Khan, conducted the ceremony. The event was officiated by the very own College Principal, Lieutenant Colonel Professor Madya Dr. Mohd Noor Azli Bin Hj. Ali Khan.
