Philosophy and Current Issues

When I first enrolled in the subject, I did not know what I was supposed to learn from it because I did not have any idea about philosophy. The topics were so interesting that I wanted to read all the slides in one whole day. However, it was not possible for me to read them but before I started reading them our lecturer found out an innovative way of going through a philosophy chapter each week. Each group was assigned to present each chapter and that way we were able to learn what was in the chapter and all the chapters were very informative. Even the exams taken were on the most informative topics. I was able to learn a lot about the meaning of philosophy, branches of philosophy and what purpose each branch of philosophy serve. Along with that, I also learned Malaysia’s history of FPN development, National education Philosophy and most importantly I was able to know about five principals of national pillars which taught me a lot about how to be a good citizen and what to do and not to do to live a good life.
