A Brief Synopsis of the following Course:

Philosophy and Current Issues (UHIS) is a course that encapsulates philosophical relation to National Education Philosophy and the Rukun Negara. The use of philosophy as a tool to purify the culture of thought in life through the arts and methods of thinking and human concepts. The main topics in philosophy, namely epistemology, metaphysics, and ethics, are discussed in the context of current issues. Emphasis is given to philosophy as a basis for intercultural dialogue and to foster universal values. At the end of the course, students should be able to view the disciplines of knowledge as a whole and interdependent body of knowledge.

Philosophy and Current Issues (UHIS) is a course where I learned about the principles and applications ethics in my daily life. I also learnt concepts of ethics from the perspective of the Rukun Negara. This enabled me to learn more about Malaysian culture.

This course strengthens my chances of achieving my dream which is to become a successful machine learning engineer. I would like to thank my lecturer towards Dr. Abdul Halim and my groupmates. Most of the assignments given were difficult to complete, things would have been more complicated without the help of Dr. Abdul Halim.

Dr. Abdul Halim improved the learning experiences with more personal stories and made the course more engaging by implementing real time presentations. By this my communication skills and confidence towards new tasks improved.
