Hello, I am Syaheerah Nazeehah and I would to talk about my industrial training experience. I was able to do my internship at KEDAH CEMENT SDN BHD a subsidiary company of YTL Corporation Berhad. The reason I chose KEDAH CEMENT SDN BHD was because it was one of the biggest cement manufacture in Malaysia. I believed I could learn a lot of processes is this Langkawi Plant. Other than that, it was located in my hometown, Langkawi Kedah. The duration of my internship was from 27^th July until 16^th October 2020

To be able to experience working in heavy industry like cement manufacturing was a dream came true for me. Cement was essential in building the houses, towers, buildings and bridges. I was able to see and learn the process of cement production since Step 1 until the end of it. It was surreal because not everyday I could experience it. 

As an industrial trainee, there was a lot of things that I was not familiar with especially involving the complicated process of converting raw materials into clinker and then into cement. Thankfully I was supervised by a kind supervisor Mrs. Rozana Hamdan the Chemist at Technical (Quality) Department.  From her guidance, I was able to learn a lot things.

In my point of view, Industrial Training program was a great platform for student like me to experience real life working world. Even though the work load of an intern was little but it helped by giving the hint what to expect when I finally step my foot in working world and what an employee able to do. I am able to mentally and physically prepared for the future and incoming challenges especially tough time like this year due to COVID -19.  It also taught me about good work ethics, trust, responsibility and also good communication in a team are compulsory to make a harmony and comfortable work place.

Hello everyone. Here is my group's presentation on chemical kinetics subject. At first, I was quite nervous because it has been a while since I did presentation in front of the class. My part was to present the question which was to determine corresponding conversion of two 800-gal reactors arranged in series. This group activity helps me to understand this topic better and my group mates were very helpful and contributed a lot in the discussion.

For Chemical Process Engineering Design assignment,my partner Maisarah Mohd Zaki and I choose amine treating unit as our case study.Amine treating unit is also known as amine scrubbing, refers to a group of processes that use aqueous solutions of various alkylamines (commonly referred to simply as amine) to remove hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) and carbon dioxide (CO₂) from gases.We choose this process as it involves a lot of unit operations and some of them are in our syllbyus

On 18 March 2018,my handball team,MJIIT Handball Club had joined a handball tournament in University of Malaya.It was our first tournament as a newly formed organisation.We were delighted to join this tournament as it provide as a platform for us to improve our skills and also increase  experience.Our group’s stage oppenents were more experienced and we admitted that we have a lot more to improve and learn from the games.Eventhough we tried our best, the luck was not on our side.We did not manage to qualify for the next stage and placed third in the group.But we learned from our mistakes and try to improve from time to time

From 24th April until 30th April 2018,I’ve participated in CSR in Surabaya,Indonesia.There were a lot of activities that have been done such as fixing madrasah and also helping to install toilets for the local people there.It was such a good experience for me and my friends as we learnt that there are more people who are unfortunate and we really need to be grateful to have what we had all along
