Report Activity No. 3

UNOBCS is an annual carnival that introduces every uniform bodies, clubs and societies available in UTM. I attended the carnival to get to know more about the clubs and its specialty for me to get involved in extra-curricular activities. There were also outstanding performances from the students who represented their clubs to convey and attract students into joining their clubs. I can conclude that there were many interesting clubs in UTM with different clusters such as sports, culture and arts, entrepreneurship, religion, academic, engineering, and many more.

This carnival was held for three days at Dewan Sultan Iskandar  (DSI). There were 8 slots altogether from the first day until the third day, filled with very useful talks and amazing performances. Apart from that, there were  lucky draws every day for lucky students who came and scanned the QR code for attendance. Merit was provided for students to encourage them to come and visit the booths.

This carnival has affected the development of the students' graduate attributes, which help to develop students’  experiences. Students get to recognize their skills which in return will help them to be successful in the outside world. With this carnival, students may discover abilities they were unaware that they possessed and can seek opportunities to develop their distinct set of characteristics. They can learn and gain many things from these extra-curricular activities.

Personally, I have developed my self-strength towards this activity, which is independency. Unlike before, I always had the problem of not being able to make my own decisions. I realized that I have to be firm with my own decisions for my future. This is because we have different interests, and I am very sure I could not do it if I do not have an interest in it. Therefore, I need to be independent in making choices without being influenced by anything.
