On 15-22 November 2019, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) held an event which is UTM games, and for the venue its depends on the sports.For example, volley ball, badminton and takraw at Sport Hall. Street soccer, Frisbee, and futsal at Stadium Azman Hashim and so on. UTM was organize this event almost every year to maintain the tradition of the sport and engage all student to contributing into this event. There were various activities conducted including games, the procession based on college with mascot, silat and so on.
The event was launched and closing by UTM Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof.Dr. Durrishah Bte Idrus. The games session started at the Friday morning around 8.30 AM with volley ball and takraw and its follow for the others games for the next days. This event was so happening because of the cheers team and many student takes a part for this event. All of them very energize to win the games. For my task I have do the work 1 month before the event.For example I have got a task to design a banner, flyers, bunting, brochure, countdown every days. During the event I also got a task to make an Ig story, Ig live and post the photos of the event in the instagram.
Self-Reflection
From this UTM Games event, there are some things useful that I have gain from joining this event. Firstly, I have polish my team working skill, because before the event and along this event I must do a work in a team so we can give a command, submit the work and divide the task for each person clearly without any problem. Second, related to my task which is designer, so from this I have polish my creativity and gain more idea to design for the banner, bunting, flyer and so on that suitable with the UTM Games themes for this year. From this, I can improve my skill in designing so it give me an advantage to include in my CV for my future purpose, especially to apply the job since its related to my course which is Science Computer ( Multimedia & Graphic Software ).
Lastly, I have learnt about the time management because my task required me to submit on the time so the others team can do their work without any delay. From this, I notice that if we have a good time management it will give benefit to us and others teammates to do a task perfectly, so after this everyone will easy and happy if working we us. If we polish this soft skill from beginning , after we got a job it will be easy to us and our friends to do a work without any problem.
