Greeeting all and Assalamualaikum, Welcome to my page! My name is Muhammad Iqmal Bin Sis. I'm currently 20 years old. I live in Kuching, Sarawak. I'm currently pursuing Bachelor of Computer Science ( Data Engineering) with Honours in UTM.

My life motto that I hold until today is that there's nothing impossible if you strive and work hard . You can't expect to get something easily because there's no free lunch in this world. You need to focus and strive to be better.

The journey of getting the AWS badge 

When I first heard that I was given the chance to gain this badge, I was excited to do it because this opportunity is not given for everyone except for those who need it. It’s because I was in Data engineering course where the badge is needed to help us in our career later that I was given the chance to participate in it. I learnt a lot during this journey where I was constantly been exposed to cloud computing technology and it amaze me so much on how technology ease our work. It took me almost 2 months to finish it. And I start to take it on 15 December 2021.

A summary of what you have gained from completing the course (get a badge)

In summary, what I’ve gained from completing this course is that I know how to manage relation between each amazon product for cloud computing. I also learnt how important cloud computing is in business perspective. By completing all the modules given, I’ve already grasp general knowledge for cloud computing and can confidently say that I can manage a very simple project for cloud computing.

My motivation to complete the project

My motivation to complete this project is because I need it to get my marks and also because the project is fun where I learned a new thing every time I watch a new videos given. This keep me going every time I struggle with completing the quiz given and it helps me so much

My opinion whether getting the badge is easy or difficult? Which module is the easiest/most difficult?

In my opinion, getting the badge depend on the people itself. Some will say that getting it is easy and some will say that getting the badge is hard. The most difficult part in this project is during exam because the question that are being asked is quite hard but luckily the test can be repeated as many times as you want.

What’s a badge worth?

The badge worth entirely depends on how the person use it. The badge will be worth so much if the career that the person applied need it. It will be a bonus point for that person to have the badge as it can distinguish him from other people.

My Feedback whether getting the badge improve your knowledge and skills on Cloud Computing

After I get this badge, I can confidently say that my knowledge on Cloud Computing is increasing, while for the skills part required more attention for me to practise as the skills is more technical.

My opinion whether every company should shift to Cloud Computing

In my opinion, every company should shift to Cloud Computing if they want to minimise their spending in term of database and operation. This is because they can cut the cost where you don’t need to spend money in term of system upgrades, new hardware, and software. Next, it also boosts efficiency in terms of collaboration because the situation right now forces us to do many things online.

My opinion whether every computer science/UTM student should learn Cloud Computing (get the AWS badge?).

In my opinion, every computer science needs to learn Cloud Computing because this subject is needed right now in this era. Next, if the student doesn’t learn this topic, it will be left behind compared to other students. So, if the student doesn’t learn Cloud Computing in computer science course, it’s advisable for the student to learn it themselves.

My advice to your friends who have not get the AWS badge yet?

My advice to my friends who haven’t get the badge is to take it if they are given the chances to do it. It will help them in the future as the benefit for getting it is greater than the drawback of it.

My direction after completing the badge?

My direction after completing this badge is that I will involve myself more in Cloud Computing and to increase my knowledge in technology theory. I hope that I will achieve this goal as I want to challenge myself to be better than before

My opinion about getting the AWS badge that is included in SECP1513 subject

In my opinion it’s a good thing to put AWS badge as one of the exercises needed to complete SECP1513 subject because it can encourage student to complete it and at the same time can give the student chances to get this badge where they can boost their career path.

What is your goal/dream concerning your course/program?

My goal towards this data engineering program is that I can be someone who knows how to use raw data to change it to something that is beneficial to any institution. Next, I need to make sure that I master all the necessary programming skills during my entire program needed for my future job prospect. These 2 things are needed for me to succeed in my career later.

What is the action/improvement/plan necessary for you to improve your potential in the industry?

My plan to improve my potential is to participate as many events as I can with various topics so that I can expand my knowledge more. This is because I need to improve my social and academic skills to make sure I stay relevant in this industry. I will also read many books regarding leadership because I plan to involve myself in this field. To improve myself in different kind of aspect is my top action.

Your opinion on whether this subject contributes to your knowledge on specific area?

In my opinion, this subject contributes in terms of general knowledge needed in terms of computational skills. For example, we are required to do various task that required different skill where we need to create magazine, newsletter, and poster to complete our assignment. This task teaches me to be more creative in arts. So, general knowledge and creativity are the thing that I learnt the most in this subject
