The reason why I am eager to join this program was because I think I had a bit of free time and do not have anything else to do. Besides, based on the tentative of the program, it looks quite fun on paper. Other than that, a lot of my friends also joined the program, making me wanting more to join the program.
The program was a two day program, where in the first day, we did qiamullail at the Masjid Sultan Ismail. We listened to the instructions of the organizer there and were divided into several groups for tomorrow's activity. In the next day, we went to Pantai Tanjung Balau to have an explorace and BBQ session.
This program had improved my communication, leadership and team working skills because my team changed leaders for every checkpoint that we visited. Plus, we also need to do a presentation about what we had gained throughout the whole program.
Self Reflection
This was my first experience to join a program that will be held outside the campus. The experience was very nice because it has been awhile since my last explorace activity which was in high school.Everyone was very energetic and high spirited making the whole experience so much better.
From this experience, I had realized that I actually had the physical resilience because we had to do the explorace while under the scorching hot sun. Most of the participants felt fatigued after some time, while I felt very energetic the whole time. The program also taught me the importance of team working and communication skills. We need to have those skills because simply being religious does not enough to make us a good human.
I hope that there will be more program like this because it is quite fun and refreshing to have outdoor activities. I would like to thank Persatuan Mahasiswa Islam for organizing this program.
