Mini Report
On December 17, 2022, Perwakilan Mahasiswa Sarawak hosted a MASSA dance workshop and competition programme. This programme was intended to familiarise UTM students to the Sarawak Iban ngajat dance. Students from UTM Sarawak who are skilled in the dance instruct others in the ngajat dance. Students at UTM have the chance to learn a little bit about Iban culture and costumes, regardless of whether they are from Sarawak or not.
A few graduate attribute skills are given the most significance in this programme. As they were required to form groups for the competition, students may exhibit their capacity to communicate with one another by taking part in this competition. Because the participants plan the competition's choreographys, adaptability and ability to think critically are also emphasised. For the group to win the competition, it also requires that they work well together.
The dancing workshop and competition make up the parts of this programme. Students are divided based on gender for the dance workshop since male and female dance movements must be taught separately by the dance instructors. The competition is held that evening. Groups of participants were competing against one another.

Self-reflection
As a programme participant, I have benefited much from this programme. Learning the dancing and culture of the Iban was a pleasure for me. I was able to demonstrate my communication abilities since I had to interact with others during the programme, including the other workshop participants and the dancing instructors.
I was able to add my skills to the programme. I stepped forward to be my group's choreographer. I provided guidance to my group members for the competition dance. I was also able to participate by using my creative thinking to come up with a choreography based on the dance abilities of my group members.
I was able to get a lot of insight from my limitations thanks to this programme. As an instance, I was unable to provide my members with the proper guidance and was unable to come up with a choreography owing to my lack of expertise and understanding. But I was able to get through this problem with the assistance of the dancing instructors and other programme committee members. This improves the graduate attribute skills that I have mentioned.
