Mini Report

To educate club members about dance, Kumpulan Tarian Citra Daksina held a workshop titled Di Balik Tari (DBT). Mr. Mohd Zulfarqar Bin Awaluddin, also known as Belalang was invited by the Kumpulan Tarian Citra Daksina. He is the artistic director of Ecnad Dance Theatre as well as a choreographer for Swatari and Pakngah Production. He imparts his expertise and experience in the dance industry to all DBT participants in this programme.

In this programme, a few graduate attribute skills are given the greatest importance. By participating in this programme, the committee may demonstrate its ability to lead and communicate with one another. Since the commitee and club members must act and think in line with the circumstance and job at hand, adaptability and thinking skills are also emphasised.

The programme consists of two main sections. The first one concentrated on the theoretical aspect, during which the speaker discussed his prior experiences, the many dance genres, and the fundamental elements of a dancer. The programme's practical aspect is continuing on the second section. The club members are required to practise basic dancing moves and learn some helpful warm-up exercises.

Self-reflection

As a high commitee of the programme, I have benefited much from it. For me, working with the other committee members was a wonderful honour. Due to the fact that I must communicate with others, including my committee members and the invited speaker, I was able to demonstrate my communication abilities.

I was able to add my abilities to the programme. I was capable of completing my task accurately and effectively. Based on the circumstances, I was able to carry out the speaker's instructions. Thus, this has improved my ability to adapt and think logically.

Even though this programme has several flaws, I was still able to gain a lot from my mistakes as a commitee. For instance, the time provided for each slot does not correspond to the programme's tentative schedule. However, we were able to find a solution to avoid any inconveniences for the participants. I am now aware of many different ways to run a programme. This also improves my graduate attribute skills.
