This assignment 4 was about comparing and evaluating different types of Cloud Service Provider (CSP) such as Amazon EC2, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform. We were required to do research on these CSP and focus on:
- Service model (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
- Virtual Machine (VM) instance types offered (such as micro, small,
medium, large etc.) - Storage
- OS environments offered
- Security
- Performance and scalability
- Pricing model
- Auto-Scaling/Elasticity
- Monitoring tools/service provided
We also provided our opinions on choosing the suitable CSP for software development, which can be found in the report attached below.

My Thought :
I had improved my knowledge regarding Cloud Computing Service Providers after doing research for this assignment. Plus, I had read about the experiences from different jobs, which are insightful and they provided me better understanding about these CSP. Apparently, they are continuously growing and expanding . Hence, in order to choose the suitable CSP, there are, indeed, many aspects to be considered, including the field of work, because each of them hold different advantages.
