Personality

Personality.png

From today's lesson, I learned about the personality which refers to a theatrical mask worn by performers in order to either project different roles or disguise their identities. The characteristics of personality are thoughts, feelings, and behavior that make a person unique. it is believed that personality arises from within the individual and remains fairly consistent throughout life. Most focus on the pattern of behaviors and characteristics that can help predict and explain a person's behavior. There are two broad areas in personality which are individual differences in particular personality characteristics such as sociability or irritability, and how the various parts of a person come together as a whole. Besides that, there are some factors that contribute including genetics, your upbringing, and your life experience. personality encompasses all of the thoughts, behavior, pattern, and social attitudes that impact how we view ourselves and what we believe about others and the world around us. After that, There have a few characteristics for a personality such as consistency, psychological and physiological, Behavior and action, and multiple expressions. Trait theories tend to view personality as the result of intrinsic traits based on genes, including Agreeable, Conscientiousness, Eager-to-Please, Extraversion, Introversion, and so on. Thank You.

From today's lesson, I learned about Self-Efficacy which refers to an individual's belief in his or her capacity to execute behaviors necessary to produce specific performance attainments. it also means we had the ability to accomplish our job or objective. There are some effects of self-efficacy influenced by which are childhood, parents, experience, factors environment, and so on. Self-Efficacy also reflects confidence in the ability to apply control over one's own motivation, behavior, and social environment. besides that, it is the beliefs that we have in our own abilities, specifically our ability to meet the challenges ahead of us and complete a task successfully. if we gain more experience, we will gain more to improve our self-efficacy.

There are some effects of self-efficacy such as low self-efficacy can lead people to believe tasks to be harder than they actually are, this often results in poor task planning as well as increased stress, or obstacles often stimulate people with high self-efficacy together efforts, where someone with low self-efficacy will tend forward discouragement and giving up, and a person with high self-efficacy will attribute failure to external factors, where a person with low self-efficacy will blame his ability.

Last, There have five ways to improve self-efficacy such as master experiences (refers to the experience we gain when we take on a new challenge and succeed), Vicarious experience (having a role model to observe and emulate), Verbal persuasion (the positive impact that our words can have a someone self-efficacy), Emotional &Psychological (overall health and well being in development maintenance), and Imaginal Experience(Visualization and exercise that allow you to imagine your future success in details). That all, Thank You.

Factor Shaping the Self-Concept.png

From today's lesson, I Learned about self-discrepancy which means for those who had the ambition that the targets must be realistic and can achieve it. if they going to fall, they must motivate themselves and stand again. There are also had four factors shaping the self-concept as One's own observations, Feedback from others, Social Context, and Cultural values. One's own observation is social comparison theory process that individual compare themselves with others in order to access their ability and opinion, they need to deserve themself. Feedback from others means individuals' self-concept is shaped significantly by the feedback they get from important people In lives. For social context is receiving feedback from others reveals that the self-concept does not develop in isolation, so does the social context where interactions occur. Lastly, Culture Values also is a factor that shapes the self-concept. When individuals meet cultural expectations, they feel about themselves and experience an increase in self-esteem. it also defined what is desirable and undesirable in personality and behavior.

Besides that, self-esteem divides into two types which are good self-esteem and low self-esteem. people with good self-esteem will feel liked and accepted themselves, proud of what they do, and believe in themselves; it compares people with low self-esteem will feel bad about themselves, hard on themselves, and think not good enough themselves.

Self-esteem is used to describe a person's overall sense of self-worth or personal value. it involves a variety of beliefs about themself, such as an appraisal of their own appearance beliefs, emotions, and behaviors. Self-Esteem also plays a significant role in our motivation and success throughout our life, so we need to have healthy self-esteem to make sure can help us to achieve because navigate life with a positive.
