From today's lesson, I learned about Self-Efficacy which refers to an individual's belief in his or her capacity to execute behaviors necessary to produce specific performance attainments. it also means we had the ability to accomplish our job or objective. There are some effects of self-efficacy influenced by which are childhood, parents, experience, factors environment, and so on. Self-Efficacy also reflects confidence in the ability to apply control over one's own motivation, behavior, and social environment. besides that, it is the beliefs that we have in our own abilities, specifically our ability to meet the challenges ahead of us and complete a task successfully. if we gain more experience, we will gain more to improve our self-efficacy.
There are some effects of self-efficacy such as low self-efficacy can lead people to believe tasks to be harder than they actually are, this often results in poor task planning as well as increased stress, or obstacles often stimulate people with high self-efficacy together efforts, where someone with low self-efficacy will tend forward discouragement and giving up, and a person with high self-efficacy will attribute failure to external factors, where a person with low self-efficacy will blame his ability.
Last, There have five ways to improve self-efficacy such as master experiences (refers to the experience we gain when we take on a new challenge and succeed), Vicarious experience (having a role model to observe and emulate), Verbal persuasion (the positive impact that our words can have a someone self-efficacy), Emotional &Psychological (overall health and well being in development maintenance), and Imaginal Experience(Visualization and exercise that allow you to imagine your future success in details). That all, Thank You.
