Mini Report

As a committee member of Studio KFK K66, there are a lot of things that I manage to experience. Therefore, in this report, I will be providing the overview of Studio KFK K66 that will be focusing on justification of joining this studio, the graduate attributes that I learned from this experience, and the content of this activity.

One of my interests that I gained during my teen years is photography. However, there is still a lot of things that I lacked, in this field. Therefore, I decided to join Studio KFK K66, as one of the committee members to gain more experience, and knowledge regarding photography. Other that photography experience, this studio also teaches committee members to know more about entrepreneurship, communication skills and other soft skills that can be used in the future.

The graduate attributes that I learn from this activity are communication skills, leadership and teamworking skills, and adaptability. The first attributes, communication skills, I learned this attribute as I need to interact with the potential customer of this studio. The next attribute, leadership and teamworking skills. Even though I was quite familiar with this attribute, through this event, it helps me to sharpen these skills. This is because, this activity requires me to make informed decisions, and guide others towards achieving common goals. The last attributes, adaptability. In a dynamic industry like photography, adaptability is essential. It enables me to adjust to changing circumstances, embrace new technologies and techniques, and meet clients' evolving demands.

This activity occurs in three phases. The three phases are pre-event, during the event and post event. During pre-event, committee members are needed to prepare for the event. Some activity that we did during this phase, are learning and testing camera work for studio, editing studio picture, and promoting skills to attract customers. During the event day, some of the committee members spent time on promoting studio package, working as a photographer and choreographer for the studio, and handling the customer on the studio’s counter. During post-event, committee members spent time on editing the studio photo, package and posting the edited photo and handling customer’s request.

As a conclusion, this activity, provided a valuable platform enhancing communication skills, leadership and teamworking abilities, and adaptability. The activities and discussions were tailored to address the targeted graduate attributes and offered practical insights and strategies applicable to the photography industry. Moreover, this activity also equipped me with the necessary skills to effectively communicate with clients, lead collaborative projects, and adapt to the ever-changing landscape of photography.
