Career Conversation: Talk With My Dreams is a program that give me an insight on how to become a team leader and how can I stand out from the interview. When we talk about the leader, the only thing that comes to our mind is that leaders must know everything. However, through this sharing session, the speaker had well explained that leader is not a superhero. Apart from that, we were also nervous during the interview. This is because it's about whether we can get hired by the company or not. The question is, even though we have well prepared for the interview questions, why we still cannot stand out from the interview. Through this career conversation, I can understand the skills that needed by a leader and the ways to impress company.

The graduate attribute that are focused on this activity are communication skills, thinking skills, and leadership and teamworking skills. First, communication skills and thinking skills are important to being a good leader or being hired by a company. Communication and thinking skills help us focus on issues or words shared by others and communicate our ideas clearly to others. Beyond that, we need to work with humans, and we will work with humans. Therefore, teamwork is a must for us to work in a team. Leadership skills are important to unite team members so that everyone can take their responsibilities at work. Teamwork skills are important so that everyone can work together and produce a great product.

The program begins with some briefings and introductions from the host to the participants. There are three speakers in this sharing session, Samantha Tang, Khaw Hui Ming and Abel Benjamin. The program was initiated by Samantha Tang. No matter how many times you become a leader, you still feel nervous about being a leader, she said. In her view, leaders need to let everyone know how important they are on the team. Therefore, determine the strength of each member, let them know what they are best at, and then the members will perform their respective tasks perfectly. 

After that, we had been divided to two breakout rooms, Behavioural Interview and The Entrepreneur's Mindset Always Work Like A Boss. I had been assigned to the Behavioural Interview. The speaker, Abel Benjamin had shared the tips to stand out in the interview. He said that, everytime we making a resume, we need to customized it based on the job description. This is because, job description will have the background of the job, duties and responsibilities that you need to be responsible at. Hence, if we send the general resume to the company, the probability to be hired is very low. Futhermore, to give an impress to the interviewer, we need to provide the example of how we handle the activities in university. Interviewer can know our skills and strengthen based on the real-life story. To make our story more interesting, we need to tell the story according to S(situation), T(task), A(action) and R(result).
