a. What is your goal/dream concerning your course/program?

When it comes to my goals and dreams for this course, I personally think that I really hope to get the grade I wanted and not disappoint myself. Besides that, I want to gain a lot of knowledge about SECP1513 so that I can be competitive in the future workplace and to be able to apply this knowledge. This is why I chose the 2u2i course.

I am very happy to be able to enter this data engineering course in UTM through upu, because in the future, big data is indispensable in the field of technology. It is also a trend in the future

b. What is the action/improvement/plan necessary for you to improve your
potential in the industry?

There are many elites in the technology sector who are not only strong in hard skills but also in soft skills such as leadership and teamwork. For me, teamwork is very essential to us. I believe that the presence of teamwork increases the possibilities of attaining a higher degree of effectiveness and efficiency in work. I also believe that it provides a better performance leading to superior outcomes because the weakness of some particular individual belonging to the team may be compensated by the strength of another. The process of teamwork that I experienced starts from goals setting, followed by awareness, development of trust, cooperative activities and group challenges. Without a team, without work. In the future workplace, teamwork is important and we often need to work in a team rather than on our own to complete a project.  I also need to participate in many industry talks to upskill myself.

c. Your opinion on whether this subject contributes to your knowledge on specific
area?

This subject is really benefiting us. To cater for the fourth industrial revolution (4IR), this course has a lot of syllabus and industry talk about the 4IR such as augmented reality, cloud computing and cyber security. This can help us to learn many pieces of knowledge about 4IR and let us can adapt easily in the future workplace. For example, augmented reality is one of the 4IR. Facebook, Google, Microsoft and others IT companies are also involved and developing this technology vigorously. With so many key players in the IT sector now putting the technology to use in the industrial sector, we can expect to see a lot more from AR over the next few years. Undeniably, AR has become more and more significant in this big data world. Therefore, this course is very suitable for us, especially for data engineering students.

d. Acknowledgement for your lecturer

Dr Izyan Izzati is my technology and information system (SECPH1513) lecturer. She is my inspiration source in this course. Although this course has a lot of projects to complete, she will help us when we face problems. Sometimes she even replies to our messages at midnight. She also uses many methods to teach us online, such as asynchronise mode or using online whiteboard as a  teaching method. In class, our lecturer didn't just read the slides, she also interacted with us and asked a lot of questions. This helps me concentrate on the online class better.
