MINI REPORT
KTDI Earth Day 2023, organized by Kolej Tun Dr. Ismail, was an online event held on 7th April 2023. As members of the Technical Unit, my role was crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the event, which aimed to increase awareness towards environmental sustainability, develop mindsets for protecting Earth's natural resources, and honour the achievements of the environmental movement. This report highlights the key points and graduate attributes gained from our involvement.
My role in the Technical Unit required a strong foundation of technical skills to support the online event effectively. We managed audiovisual equipment, ensured seamless streaming, and resolved technical issues promptly. Our problem-solving abilities came into play when troubleshooting technical challenges, enabling us to maintain a high-quality virtual experience for participants.
Effective communication and collaboration were essential as part of the Technical Unit. We coordinated closely with other team members, event organizers, and presenters to ensure a cohesive flow of the online event. Clear and timely communication facilitated smooth transitions between sessions, technical segments, and presenter interactions, contributing to the overall success of KTDI Earth Day 2023.
We are grateful for the opportunity to have been part of KTDI Earth Day 2023, and we believe that the skills and attributes gained will positively impact our personal and professional growth as we continue to champion environmental sustainability.
SELF REFLECTION
Participating in the Technical Unit for KTDI Earth Day 2023, an online event organized by Kolej Tun Dr. Ismail, provided me with an opportunity for self-reflection and personal growth. As I reflect on my role and the objectives of the event, I recognize the impact it had on my development and the alignment with key graduate attributes.
Being part of the Technical Unit allowed me to enhance my technical skills significantly. Through managing audiovisual equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring seamless streaming, I developed a deeper understanding of technology and its role in virtual events. The experience sharpened my problem-solving abilities as I quickly addressed technical challenges and maintained a high-quality online experience for participants.
The importance of attention to detail was evident in my role within the Technical Unit. I meticulously prepared the technical setup to ensure smooth presentations and a captivating virtual environment.
