REPORT 2: TROPICAL RUN 2019

Report:
This event was organized by UTM and Fesko63 during the 63rd Convocation. It was held on a Saturday because the organizers wanted more families, non-UTM students and non-UTM staffs to join the run. The purpose of this event is to focus on our daily workout routine and exercises because after weeks of working at the office and studying for almost 8-10 hours, this is time for us to release our stress and tension. The graduate attributes that I obtained from joining this event is communication skills. Although this program is just running following the given map and routes, at least I can socialize a bit with the committee in charge. That counts right? I also gained a new friend, Adriena, who gave me and my friends a ride to the Padang Kawad from our college. She was an old schoolmate of one of my friends and she was also the one who invited us to join the run at the first place. We changed our clothes at the changing room near Padang Kawad after we received our kits from the registration committee and we started our warming up session at 7:30AM. After we were done with the warm up, it was time to get ready for the real battle. We started our run at 7:45A.M. and ended it at around 8.45A.M.
Self-reflection:
Joining runs have been a thing my close friends and I have always done together ever since 2018. Even though we never run together, we always joined runs together. We always separate into 3 different groups, the front, middle and back part. I usually finish second out of all my friends and we would wait at the finishing line for the others, so we could collect our drinks and medals together. I was totally drained out and I was sweating non stop since the weather on that day was quite sunny and hot. But if UTM organizes similar events like this in future, I will definitely join and collect all jerseys and medals. In conclusion, I had a great time and experience joining this event.
