Program Overview

Annual Grand Meeting is an annual event held at the second half semester of the second semester to select the new high committee of Computer Graphics and Multimedia Association (CGMA). This program is an activity which is conducted when the country is in emergency state due to a pandemic disease happened in this country (COVID-19). Students and lecturers have been communicating a lot about it during that time, especially during the voting session. This event is conducted as a program to vote for the new high committee, organized by CGMA. First, there will be where the Majlis Tertinggi at that time presented CGMA annual activities report, CGMA annual financial report and Programming Expert report for 2021/2022 session. Then, when the voting session has commenced, students can vote to the respective candidates. The candidates then stated their manifesto. The second voting session has commenced. The results would then be appointed the next high committee calculated after the majority of votes from students.

Self-Reflection

From this event, I learnt that it is important to have a good decision-making skills as a participant. Because this program consists of a voting system and election for the students on who to vote for, on who is the correct person to vote as a new high committee. As a candidate however, I have known that the candidate must be responsible for any challenges that can appear. During the session, the Majlis Tertinggi at that time presented their report about annual CGMA activity, financial and Programming Expert report for session 2021/2022. As a participant myself, I am very impressed to the candidates for their way of communication and manifested their manifesto to students. In this way I have also learned that leadership skills are very important because a group could always need a leader to progress. Also noted that the confidence level and persuading skills are also crucial so that we can convince people to always believe in us.
