This event is a one day event called HUAWEI Connected Campus 2020 held by Huawei and the venue is at the Dewan Sultan Iskandar in UTM Johor Bahru. Upon entering the main door of the hall, we were greet by the Huawei booth to get the souvenir. The souvenir include a sling bag, a Huawei notebook and a "GOLDEN TICKET". After that, we can move to the stairs where they have a booth about career option available in the HUAWEI company. Most of the booth focused on the IT section and the booth that attracts my attention the most is the software engineering one because in the future I might join HUAWEI in the software engineering department. The event consist of 2 parts which are product showcase and hr consultation and career talk, business and hr insights. The event was very meaningful. The event also has many activities such as talk by Huawei pioneers, campus enlistment, and grandstand of Huawei items.
Self-Reflection
This event is a very useful event for me as it gives me information about the Huawei company, which is useful information for after I graduate from my study in UTM. In addition, this event also gives me insight of what position I might get to hold in the future. Then, I also was able to improved my communication skills as I need to make a two way conversation between the Huawei representative at the booth to get as much information as I needed. Furthermore, I think this event is also good generally and not only for Computer Science students as the event also consist of insight for Business. On the day of the event, there are a lot of students came to the hall because their main reason is to get the qr code and the other reason to watch the Huawei product. But as a computer science student, I can say that this event is good for me and I hope UTM can held an event like this more in the future.
