On 4th May 2020, Dr Chan had given us the Project 2 as the replacement for our final examination. In this project, we are required find a secondary data from any reliable sources and do some analysis about the data. Before we proceed to our project, we were asked to make a proposal and submit it and up until the proposal is approved, we are good to continue. After I have submitted my proposal, Dr Chan advised me to find a new data set since my data set is not good to do the analysis. Then, I found a new one and send it to Dr. Chan and Dr. Chan approved the data set thus I proceeded to do the analysis. So I have decided to do an analysis about factors that causes diabetes. The objective of the project is to find the most vulnerable variables such as age,BMI and skin thickness that will causes diabetes. For this project , my target population is the all female in Pima Indian Heritage and hypothesis test such as Correlation, Regression and Independence Chi Square Test will be carried out. In the meantime, I have some problems with the analysis that I wanted to do but finally found my way to do the right one. Throughout the process of finishing this project, I am finally could understand more about the topic and the analysis that I was doing. Despite the pandemic and everything, Dr. Chan had spare his time patiently helping me with this project and explain everything clearly to me. Thus, I would like to thank him for his time and patient to help me and not to forget my friends who helped me with any of the problems that I faced throughout this project. At the same time, I also learnt a lot more about using the R studio since the calculation were done using the R studio. Above all, I gained a lot more knowledge about diabetes especially in the case where diabetes consist of two types which are Type 1 and Type 2 and not only that I also learnt the factors that might causes the diabetes. In this part, I finally realized that there's a lot that I have to improve in order to keep my body healthy. Overall, I am satisfied with the process of doing this project because at the end of the day, I got to expand my knowledge to a whole lot different level of myself and the level of knowledge in me as well as learning a lot of new experiences.
First of all, I would like to thank Dr. Chan Weng Howe for his dedication in helping us to finish this project perfectly despite all the circumstances especially during this pandemic hours. At the same time, also thank to my group member who always take note on every details to make sure we do this project nicely. At the first place, we were assigned to do a project which we may need to collect some data and from the data we have, we need to present the results in graphical ways and interpret each of the data. Personally, this project really got me learned something new. I learned a lot that doing a survey is not only that but there’s a lot of hard work need to be put in. From the raw data, we have to extract it and be very careful on each data so that we will not mistakenly missed any important parts of the data. This taught me to be someone who really careful at things so that I will not waste my time on the error and mistake. At the same time, as I have mentioned above, this project is done during the pandemic hours where all of us are staying in our on hometown, thus it is really hard for us to communicate as well as to do any discussion upon this project. This is the most thrill part ever in my life where I learned that effective communication and great teamwork is the hardest thing to achieve as everyone has their own things to do and not to forget that not every places have the good internet connection. Other than that, in order to finish this project, I got myself to learn how to use the R studio as well as the Excel. This basically strengthen my skills on using both of R Studio and Excel as these two software are rarely been used in my daily life and it was a big achievement to me as I learned them myself. Despite everything that constantly distract me from doing my work, I am grateful and thankful that I finally finished this whole project successfully.

On 9th December 2019, we attended a Robokar Workshop that had been held at Active Learning Lab N28. This workshop was organized by the Robokar’s representative. Throughout the workshop, Dr.Haswadi supervised all of us in the lab to ensure that all of us involved actively in the workshop. The Robokar’s representative introduced us about their organization and taught us of the basic skills in doing arduino. The moment we weere informed that we were going to attend the workshop, we were super excited to experience and learn new knowledge that we have never been exposed to. Not to forget, this new knowlege and skills could be use after we graduate from UTM which will help us in the future industries. After we attended the workshop, we found it is important to gain new knowledges and skills because it will surely beneficial to us.
This workshop also gives a good impact to us as we were introduced about the RoboKar model and the way to code to run the program. Firstly, the representative introduced us about some of the codes that will make the model move. At this point, the model use sensor and the code of ReadLineSensor will activate the sensor which will finally move the model according to the value read in binary. We were also exposed to new problem solving skills that needed to think as creative as we can so that it would work properly. The moment we finished encoded our program, we have some competitons with the other group to test our model and we found out that our model work properly but it was not fast enough as other group.
In conclusion, we realized that critical way of thinking will improve our program not only that but we also knew that it would help us in so many other ways. This encouraged us to have the urge to reach our goal and dreams passionately. Some of us also interested to become one of the members of the Robokar. This shown this workshop succesfully attract the student’s interest thus the generation will always continue with more bombastic ideas and products. Lastly, we would like to thank Dr.Haswadi Hassan also the Robokar’s representative that guided us throughout this workshop.
Pada 21 November 2019, saya telah menghadiri sebuah ceramah yang berwacanakan “Negara Rahmah Ummah Sejahtera”. Ceramah ini telah berlangsung di Masjid Sultan Ismail,Universiti Teknologi Malaysia yang bermula pada jam 8.15 pagi. Ceramah yang diadakan ini telah disampaikan oleh Ustaz Ali bin Muda yang merupakan Pegawai Khas YB Menteri Agama. Dalam ceramah ini, Ustaz Ali telah mengetengahkan konsep “Rahmatan Lil Alamin” yang berkonsepkan isu rahmat daripada Allah SWT. Konsep ini telah dinyatakan dengan jelas di dalam al-Quran melalui surah Al-Anbiya’ ayat 107 yang bermaksud: “Tidaklah Kami mengutuskan kamu wahai Muhammad melainkan sebagai rahmat kepada sekalian alam”. Dalam hal ini, masyarakat Malaysia yang terdiri daripada pelbagai jenis kaum dan etnik yang rata-ratanya adalah berbangsa Melayu, Cina dan India sudah pasti menganut pelbagai agama berbeza. Walaubagaimanapun, agama islam merupakan agama utama di Malaysia yang sememangnya merupakan agama anutan majoriti penduduk di Malaysia ini. Apabila bercakap soal agama,pelbagai persoalan dan konflik yang sering dibincangkan oleh setiap pelosok rakyat tidak kira muda atau tua. Apabila bercerita soal agama, rata-rata tahu tapi masih kurang faham dan tidak mengamalkan sepenuhnya seetiap ajaran yang diajar oleh agama masing-masing. Menurut Islam, salah satu cara untuk mengenal Allah adalah melalui basmallah. Pada pandangan saya, mengenali agama itu sahaja tidak cukup tetapi perlula disertakan bersama mengenali dan memahami dengan mendalam tentang sesuatu ajaran agama tersebut. Menurut 99 nama Allah, terdapat dua nama yang sering kita dengar iaitu Al-Rahim yang bermaksud Allah Maha Penyayang dan Al-Rahman yang bermaksud Allah Maha Pemurah. Dalam konteks ini, ramai yang kurang jelas akan beza kedua-dua ini dan telah salah faham terhadapnya. Al-Rahman yang bermaksud Maha Pemurah merupakan suatu kurnian Allah kepada semua makhluk di muka bumi ini tanpa mengira agama yang dianuti oleh mereka. Dalam erti kata lain, orang bukan muslim juga dapat merasai Al-Rahman. Di samping itu, Al-Rahim yang membawa maksud Maha Penyayang adalah berbeza apabila yang dapat merasai nikmat ini hanyalah khusus untuk orang-orang beriman. Melalui perkara ini, saya dapati bahawa bukan mudah untuk kita mendapat Al-Rahim ini kerana kita manusia mudah lalai dan sememangnya pendosa. Walaubagaimanapun, saya percaya setiap rahmat yang saya dapati merupakan sesuatu kurniaan yang saya sepatutnya bersyukur. Sebagai salah seorang rakyat di Malaysia ini, saya juga sedar kehidupan bermasyarakat yang majmuk yang hidup dengan aman dan tenang merupkan salah satu rahmat yang sering dilupakan oleh masyarakat. Hal ini oleh kerana, rata-rata masyarakat lebih tertumpu terhadap perkara lain seperti kekayaan harta dan hiburan semata-mata sedangkan terdapat pelbagai rahmat yang selalu dilupakan seperti nikmat kesihatan dan ibu bapa. Negara yang stabil dan selamat juga merupakan satu rahmat yang sering tidak diambil cakna oleh masyarakat sedangkan ini merupakan satu perkara yang amat penting dalam kehidupan seharian. Hal ini tepat dengan wacana “Negara Rahmah Ummah Sejahtera” apabila negara yang dicucuri rahmah bakal mewujudkan kehidupan ummah yang sejahtera sepanjang hidup. Hal ini amat penting dalam memastikan kehidupan kita sentiasa harmoni dan aman damai. Kesimpulannya, kenali lah agama yang kita anuti itu sebaiknya dan balik lah kepangkal jalan. Sekecil kecil perkara yang kita sering abaikan merupakan sesuatu perkara yang bakal memberi impak yang sangat besar kepada kita jika kita teliti dan memahami setiap perkara secara mendalam.
Previously in GSA class, Dr.Hadi had assigned us with an assignment to make a proposal. At the very first moment I heard about this assignment, I really thought it would be impossible to come out with a great activity. After that, Dr.Hadi randomly assigned us in a group whereas the group are mixed with different races and gender. I was glad that this happened because I am very sure it would be very hard if we have to assign ourselves in the group on our own and at the some points it might be unfair.
Eventhough I have experienced in some big events when I was in school but I don’t have that confidence that I can make it this time. This is because I believe that when I was in school the teachers also my great fellow friends were doing it nicely while I was still learning on how to work it out. Gladly, there’s great people in my group such as Chien Li, Husny,Nabila and Anika. Chien Li as the group leader played his role greatly and I admired him as he always calm in handling every situation. Since there is international student in our group, it was hard to meet but we handled this one problem by having discussion through whatsapp.
After having some discussions, we have decided to make a proposal of visiting an orphanage. We have some other choices on our mind but we thought the best of the best is to visit an orphanage. The next thing we did was choosing a great name for this event and after all we chose our group leader’s idea which sound “Helping foster, Making laughter”.
During the time doing this proposal, I found it hard for me to settle the sponsor part. To choose a sponsor that is valid as well as the amount and all the budgets were not easy to handle. Not only that, we have to make sure it valid and compatible with the other part of the proposal. Eventhough I have experienced in finding sponsors but it still hard for me. However, I am glad that each of us always give opinions for each other’s task.
In conclusion, it was great to experience this kind of work since I gained lot of knowledge. It is not only get to know how a proposal is being done but also I learned on how to work with people with different races. The effort and the great work together is priceless.
Sepanjang semester satu bagi tahun pertama saya sebagai seorang pelajar kursus Kejuruteraan Perisian, terdapat banyak perkara yang telah saya pelajari melalui subjek Dinamika Malaysia ini. Kursus ini banyak mendidik saya untuk menjadi seorang warganegara yang bersyukur dan mengetahui lebih banyak tentang isu-isu semasa. Dalam pada masa yang sama, banyak ilmu berkaitan agama islam juga telah saya pelajari. Pertama sekali, melalui kelas ini, terdapat banyak input berkaitan isu semasa di Malaysia mahupun di luar negara. Saya lebih memahami struktur negara Malaysia dan lebih mengetahui hal-hal berkaitan negara yang kurang saya ambil peduli sebelum ini. Terdapat juga beberapa aktiviti yang dijalankan yang telah dapat merapatkan ukhwah antara kami satu kelas yang terdiri daripada pelbagai kaum. Memandangkan kami terdiri daripada latar belakang yang berbeza ditambah pula kami juga jarang melakukan aktiviti bersama, jadi aktiviti yang diadakan melalui kelas ini telah berjaya merapatkan kami dengan lebih baik. Hal ini dapat dilihat melalui aktiviti kunjungan ke Rumah Anak Yatim terdahulu yang telah berlangsung dengan jayanya yang diketuai oleh Ahmad Mujahid sebagai pengarah projek. Kami telah berjaya memperbaiki komunikasi kami antara satu sama lain bukan sahaja antara kaum dan jantina yang sama malah juga melibatkan kaum dan jantina yang berbeza-beza.
Selain itu, kursus ini telah memberi pendedahan yang lebih mendalam berkaitan Islam yang mementingkan kesepaduan ummah. Hal ini dapat dilihat melalui ceramah yang telah diadakan di Masjid Sultan Ismail UTM pada 21 November 2019 yang telah disampaikan oleh Ustaz Ali Bin Muda iaitu Pegawai Khas YB Menteri Agama dengan wacana Negara Rahmah Ummah Sejahtera. Ceramah ini telah menunjukkan betapa pentingnya semangat bersatu padu antara satu sama lain yang amat dititikberatkan dalam ajaran agama Islam. Saya amat kagum ketika itu apabila pelajar yang bukan beragama Islam juga turut bersama-sama mengikuti program tersebut. Dalam pada masa yang sama, mereka juga terutamanya pelajar perempuan mengikuti etika pemakaian di dalam masjid. Ini memberikan impak besar kepada saya apabila mereka menunjukkan sikap hormat-menghormati terhadap agama Islam sedangkan terdapat banyak kes-kes di luar sana yang melibatkan rasa tidak puas hati akibat tidak menghormati agama dan bangsa lain. Hal ini sedikit sebanyak mengajar saya untuk sentiasa mengamalkan sikap yang baik terhadap semua orang tidak kira tempat, masa dan keadaan.
Secara konklusinya, kursus ini jelas sekali mengajar saya tentang nilai-nilai murni kehidupan dalam menjadi seorang anak bangsa yang bertamadun dan mempunyai jati diri yang tinggi. Saya amat bersyukur dengan segala pendedahan yang telah saya dapat melalui kursus ini. Saya juga amat berterima kasih kepada Dr.Hassan atas kesudian beliau memberikan segala tunjuk ajar dan tidak lupa jasa beliau yang memberi pengalaman dan peluang melalui aktiviti-aktiviti yang telah diadakan sepanjang satu semester ini. Dalam pada masa yang sama, tidak lupa juga kepada kawan-kawan saya yang telah banyak mengajar saya dan memberi semangat sepanjang sesi pembelajaran di sini. Saya amat berpuas hati dan menikmati semua yang saya lalui disini sama ada susah ataupun senang. Akhir kata daripada saya, terima kasih atas segalanya.
