4. Mini Report
On 19 December 2021, I attended the programme World Aids Day which was organized by UTM Unesco Club. The purpose of this programme is to unite all the people in the fight against HIV, show their support for people living with HIV, and remember those who have died from an HIV-related illness. The key objective is to increase the awareness of UTM students and how can we combat the discrimination against people with AIDS. At first, Mr Martin Choo introduced his background in his NGO. He also shared his contribution of AIDS to society. Lastly, he also do a Q&A session and answered all the questions asked by the audience on that day.

5. Self-reflection

I was a committee and I am the one who posts and blasts the poster to invite more people to join the talk as I know most of the students still lack of knowledge about AIDS and do not know how to deal with the people with AIDS. This talk highlights a very important message as the new HIV cases is still increasing. Women make up 20% of the new HIV infections around the world. The challenge for this current issue is inequalities by advocating for access to health care facilities for people of different sexual and gender identities. We need to reduce these inequalities and focus on the needs and demands of people of other identities.
