Why I Joined
I joined the marching band because I have an interest in music beforehand and at the time It was considered one of the school's specialties along with mathematics and rugby. I came to them during one of their practices alone because I was really eager to join them and play a part in their performances.

Practices
The practices were usually once a week during Saturdays but during prep for major performances, the band asked permission to practice during school hours. It took some time away from my studies but since I am a fast learner it does not affect them to a great extent and some might argue it increased my focus as it gave the necessary push to better myself in more than one aspect.
