As everyone have their own point of view, but I really think that after the talk, finding money is not that hard as many people think. We can find money with our skills as long as we trust in ourselves that we can do the jobs. Besides, I discovered that even that our simplest skill like photography, or even just reviewing a photo or video can give us a lot of benefits if we put enough creativity and effort into working on them. On the internet, even the simplest things can be valuable if we can sell them to the person that need them. Last but not least, I learn that the Malaysia government has do a lot of works to help its citizen out of poverty and increasing their income. This is the reason that make me should be proud and being thankful as the citizen of Malaysia.

After attending the NALI Exhibition, I was impressed on how innovation in this 21th century can be implement for upgrading the teaching and learning to a new level. By using the innovation and technology, teaching and learning become more affective and fast. This environment makes a new meaning for the use of technology. I believe that, when every school and learning institute in Malaysia apply the innovation and technology on teaching and learning, Malaysia will become a developed country with first class minded citizen in no time.

In addition, for booth 53 the topic that were discuss is adapting gamification approach in massive open online courses to improve user engagement. Gamification has become another platform for a student to increase their knowledge in every aspect of knowledge. This is because student nowadays always spent lot of their leisure time to play games. In other to prevent students from wasting their time by playing bad games, so this approach is really good for us as a students. It can make us spend our time wisely at the same time had some fun by playing an educational games. Other than that, gamification also helps student to understand more about their subjects study. Massive Open Online Course(MOOC) has give an opportunity for students to enhance their skills in their own preferred study. MOOC is a model for delivering learning content online to any person who wants to take a course with no limit on attendance. By using MOOC gamification can be spread widely by lecturer or even by student himself to another student. Besides, student do not need to worry if they fails when playing the games or how many time they want to play that games because gamification approach in Massive Open Online Course does not have any time limit or how many time you must play it. In conclusion, adapting gamification approach in Massive Open Online Course to improve user engagement is a good steps to the students nowadays in other for them to succeed in every life challenging that they had or will encounter in their life.
My view:
I think that gamification is a good thing for a youth nowadays but depends on how you use it in your daily life. If you make a wrong choice then it will be a bad thing to you and vice versa.

Lastly, in booth 21 we visits a booth that discuss about forming interdisciplinary engineering teams using personality type differences. There are four personality type that they were focus on. First is artisan. This personality describe about our courage to be a confident person, quick-thinking and dynamic. Second, is guardian. In other to form interdisciplinary engineering teams we must have personality type of guardian which mean that we need to be a loyal towards each other and always respect each other. Third, is rational. Rational mean that someone need to have a great strategist to form a team with others. Someone with rational personality can view problems from multiple perspectives, will bring well thought-out arguments and independent one. Lastly, is idealist. Idealist is a personality more to easy-going one. People with this personality is always calm, steady and have a strong desire to improve their surroundings and the people they meet. This personality type is really important to form interdisciplinary engineering teams among each other.
My View:
Those personality is important to form a good team in any circumstance but to form a team you must have a good cooperation among each other. So in my opinion even we do not have all the four personality type as long as we have enough faith in our team members and good cooperation we still manage to overcome the problem that we has to face.

Industrial Visit Report - CICT
The Centre for Information and Communication Technology (CICT) is responsible for ensuring that staffs and students in UTM have access to teaching, learning and research ICT resources. To achieve this, CICT provides the university's IT infrastructure, acquired, developing and supporting new and emerging technologies and systems, and provides access to digital resources across the university's campuses.
On 1st October 2018, we have managed to go to the Centre for Information and Communication Technology (CICT) for an industrial visit. On that day, we have been exposed about the functions and objectives of CICT, ICT services that being offered to all of the students and staffs of UTM and the ICT regulations or policy of UTM. In short, the briefing tells about CICT introduction and their objective towards giving the best for students and staff of UTM. The speaker also explained about the services provided by CICT such as WIFI-UTM, ACID, VPN and UTM Live@edu. In addition, the briefing also told about the facilities at CICT building. As example, computers, project discussion area and specialize multimedia and content authoring production lab (SMAL). CICT also provides free softwares for students, such as Office 365, Final Cut Pro, and Adobe Suite. After the short briefing, we have been taken to see CICT Gallerium to look and learn about the history of ICT technology. The visit ended about 6 o’clock.
Our industry visit to CICT began at 4.00 pm in the evening. All of us gathered with participating students from other classes ten minutes beforehand in front of N24 building. As soon as we got the instruction from our lecturer, we all walked to the seminar room to listen for briefing on CICT services and regulations. The visit started with attendance checking and a briefing by a member of CICT department. It was given by Mr. Zahari bin Zainal Abidin. The CICT objectives are to increase the adoption of Information Technology in all university activities, to provide guaranteed ICT infrastructure and facilities, to become a reference centre in ICT Services in the university, to explore new technologies in ICT services and implementation, and to increase ICT competencies of the university’s community.
There are a lot of ICT services provided for students. It is divided into five categories which is basic ICT services, student management Services, ICT instructional services, ICT social services and additional e-services. Basic ICT services includes PPICTP, Wi-Fi UTM, VPN, ACID and UTM Live@edu. The facilities for students to do their ICT project is located at Student ICT Service Centre, which also called as PPICTP. This service centre has approximately 450 computers with different types of OS (380 Windows platform, 50 Mac OS and 20 Linux OS). Three project discussion areas were also designed to create proper discussion environment. Besides, PPICTP also provides photocopy services, CD/DVD burning, binding and laminating. For multimedia students, Specialize Multimedia and Content Authoring Production Lab (SMAL) is specially provided for them to do multimedia-related projects. This lab has multimedia facilities such as lighting and chroma key, mixer, DVD printer, whisper room, Mac Pro computers and many related softwares.
Next, internet can be accessed by all colleges whether using wifi or wired. For administrative and academic network, mostly the connections are wired in faculties and admin offices. In contrast, colleges network use wi-fi as it can be used by many people in the areas remotely. There are over 1600 access points for network connection entire this university and the backbone for the network infrastructure is the CICT. Then the network is distributed to all UTM colleges. To access UTM Wi-Fi network, the students need to use their ACID for authentication. The bandwidth dedicated for residential college network has a total amount of 1Gbps. Other than that, there is also Virtual Private Network (VPN) service to access UTM intranet from the outside of UTM campus. The users just need to enter http://vpn.utm.my and use their ACID to login.
All online services provided by CICT now all integrated under one domain which is One Stop Student Services. This includes student management services such as AIMS and student financial system, and ICT instructional services like e-Learning, MyLine and e-PPP. E-Learning is an educational portal that assists student and lecturers in the teaching and learining process to be more effective and flexible. While the lecturers give you score for your test, you also can give your lecturers score as evaluation on their teaching performance through e-PPP. Students don’t have to worry that the lecturers will be angry with them because the information you give won’t be known by the lecturers. Therefore, students are requested to evaluate with honesty.
It was a good briefing by Mr. Zahari bin Zainal Abidin. Next, we all moved to CICT Gallerium to see early ICT technologies. All of them were not used today because they are developing exponentially so the old ones were discarded. Today’s technologies are really advance and their specifications are thousand times more superior. For instance, old computer storage is really big in size but it can store only a little amount of data, compared to our generation’s. After learning about the past, this visit finally came to its end. We all started to leave CICT by 6 o’clock in the evening and headed to our college.
From this visit, we managed to increase our interest in studying software engineering course. This visit made us understand what we need to do so we can reach our goals and how to get there by working hard on our studies right now. We can never waste our time doing meaningless activities. Eventually, we should also learn on how to make schedules to differentiate our time between studying, fun activities, sleeping etc. Hence, to improve ourselves in this field, we have to inform ourselves about all the new improvement that happens very fast in this industry and how we should keep up by improving our knowledge about technologies that I will face in the future. In addition, we should keep practising what we have learned from time to time so we will not forget it when we finish our study.
Last but not least, by involving in this visit, we as students and dreamers want to learn more regarding our course which is software engineering and become really good at it so that we could achieve our dream, to get the jobs that make us apply all of our knowledge for good causes. We also dream to meet more people from similar course so that we can improve ourselves and learn more from their experience.
Industrial Talk 1 - Glow Mdec Reflection
After attending the industrial talk, I have become more interested to know more about working on an online platform. I discovered that by joining this such of program, it gave me a lot of opportunity to know any jobs on the internet that really suits me rather than just sit on the office doing the things that we do not like. Industrial Talk 2 - NALI reflection
After attending the NALI Exhibition, I was impressed on how innovation in this 21th century can be implement for upgrading the teaching and learning to a new level. By using the innovation and technology, teaching and learning become more effective and fast. This environment makes a new meaning for the use of technology. I believe that, when every school and learning institute in Malaysia apply the innovation and technology on teaching and learning, Malaysia will become a developed country with first class minded citizen in no time.
Industrial Visit - CICT Reflection
From the visit, we managed to increase our interest in studying software engineering course. We also dream to meet more people from similar course so that we can improve ourselves and learn more from their experience.
Industrial Visit - Internet of Things Carnival Reflection
As a conclusion, even the visit was short, it was very meaningful and especially very helpful for me as a students taking software engineering course as a major. The visit is just fine, but if it considering a few upgrade it must be a great visit for everyone. Specifically, the upgrade that I want to suggest for the program management are to make sure that the venue is large enough so that everyone can fit in there. This is because there are a few students who cannot enter the hall for the talk. Next, the thing that can be upgraded is the to make sure that the venue is working properly. This is due to the condition of the chair at the back of the hall not even close to be use for the students. The third suggestion that I want to suggest is to upgrading the PA systems. As the students that sit on the back, we are barely hearing the thing that being said by the speaker. If the management taking consider of this thing, the visit will be perfect.
Lastly, even with the flaws the whole visit is great. One of the reason is the speaker that being invited are really good at presenting making me avoid for getting sleep even for a second. I have managed to gain information about Industry 4.0 and it making me easier to know how the world works in this modern era. In addition, I can apply the knowledge I gain from the visit to my study, because Industry 4.0 is all about the using of computer based program. This will make my study easier and fun.
Industrial Visit 3 - OneMaker Medini Reflection Help
The visit to OneMaker Medini could never stop giving us amazing and fun experience of discovering, creating and applying current technologies especially robots. It promotes creative thinking in a cheerful environment. Based on what we have observed, the site doesn’t emphasize on making industrial-level projects such as software or robots. The visit inspired us to become makers by designing and innovating new technologies no matter how old we are because technologies change really fast. Finally, we are grateful we have the chance to learn how the creative technology industry works at OneMaker Medini.
Design Thinking Reflection
After was introduced with the design thinking we know that we can enhance our skill more and make a proper project in the future. With a good skill and potential in yourself we can further it for the future use. As example, we can make our chance to be hire for a job in future high because we have a knowledge, experience and attitude that almost all company need for their employee now.
It make us think that with a proper technique, we also can make better project or solve current problem. By follow this technique less effort need to do for us to finish the project in good quality. Design thinking also give us a concrete manual to handle a problem that we may be faced in our future. It make us be more prepare and confident in facing our own problem or other problem that may came up in our life.
Even by gaining the knowledge about design thinking from the expert but if we still cannot tolerate or cooperate with our own team members it still also be can be a useless way in solving problem. From this industrial visit we know that our group is still lack of cooperation, tolerate and communication between yourself. So in order to, counter our own problem we need to take an initiative to improve our teamwork so we can make other job in a better way. It also can make us do our task within the allocated time. This skill is really important for us if we want to venture into an industry job when graduate from university later.
