PROBABILITY & STATISTICAL DATA ANALYSIS

PROJECT2

REPORT

Reflection

This is about reflection of project 2, it would not be long, but I am gonna divide three parts to talk about : 1. Prepare  2. Process  3. conclusion

I. PREPARE

Honestly, I was so scared of this project, it had been group assignment last time, but this time it has been individual  assignment because final exam of PSDA had been cancelled.  I really had no idea to understand, no mention to start. But I really appreciate my lecturer who must consider this, so she gave us lot of time to prepare, to be done. Therefore, the first what we need to do is  to choose data set. I can say I wasted a lot of time to choose data set. I think those data are all fine. but did not know what I need to do with data. What I satisfied either had already  been chosen by  others or I was really not able to connect to four statistical tests at that time. I had to ask my friends, They told me I had to find the main point which is what really wanted to analysis, then base on the point, to see what factors would affect it. Therefor,  I got idea on it.  I chose a data set which called World Wushu Championships 2017 Chinese Martial Arts competition data. So I decided to do 1. Hypothesis testing (2 samples) -- The relationship between Overall Scores and Gender. 2. Correlation -- The relationship between Overall Score and Time Spend. 3. Regression -- The relationship between Overall Score and  The Number Of Attempted Degree Of Difficulty Movements. 4. ANONA -- The relationship between Overall Score and Regions. for above, my main point is Overall Score.

II. PROCESS

The main part here should be to complete the report, with the assistance of RStudio, to complete the analysis. The R part was a relatively easy part for me, because in project 1 I was responsible for completing R part. But in terms of writing a report, at first, I really didn't know how to start my report. I felt that what I need to analyze and test which could be summarized  in one or two sentences. The three-page report is impossible for me, not to mention the five-page report. But good teacher provided two examples, I can find a little feeling. So I followed two examples step by step to write my report. I planned to complete my report for four days, one statistic report a day. Because I had enough time for myself, I carefully read the two examples. There were many things which I did not understand, especially when I tried to explain combined with scattered plots. I really did not understand the meaning of their corresponding statistic test. would seriously look up relevant information. After finishing report, I took video for presentation of project 2.

III. CONCLUSION

I feel that I have learned a lot through this project. This time it is not like the last project was completed by a team. This time it was all done by one person. Very test a person's writing, logic, programming understanding, independence and so on. For example, in the last project, because of my poor writing ability, I didn’t write the report at all. So the report of this project is really a challenge for me personally, and I can’t let others share part of it. task. So there are many places that are expressed very strangely, and I don’t know where it’s not good to modify it.

There are also organizational skills, logical thinking. Because not only writing text, but also the results you get in RStudio and the visualization of these results, these require a good organizational ability, logical thinking to organize the two, I feel that in this project, I have been greatly improved. Although not perfect, it has improved a lot compared to project1. Another point is to become more independent, because if it is a team job, I feel that when I encounter something that I am not able to do, I will just throw it to my group members without thinking. This time, I completely thought through myself, inquired about the materials, and consulted the lecturer.

However, there are still many areas for improvement. First, writing (English). Second, to learn to learn actively, the university actually needs to learn on its own. Learning through the classroom is not enough. Thirdly, to improve the actual operation ability. My actual operation ability is very poor. I like fantasy and do not want to go to test them. This is a disaster for a computer student.
